To whom ever might be reading. This movie tells the story of the last 6 months of my life, three weeks ago I tried to commit suicide and was brought back, I still can't forgive myself for speaking to another girl, the guilt still overwhelms me, day in and day out, I cannot live without her and I do not know what will happen to me, all I can say is, this movie tells my exact feeling and gives an outside perspective to problems, I, without any authority whatsoever, highly recommend it.

I have just gotten diagnosed with,,,,,,it is hard for me to say, I have been out of the hospital just one day. This movie was on my Netflix list. My husband & I are together for a reason I cannot remember anymore. Maybe just sheer loneliness. We sat together & watched, I had a lump in my throat & he seemed unmoved what so ever. I feel so lost & afraid. Maybe I should be alone at this moment 'cause alone is what I feel. I also feel guilt over maybe not ever loving him enough to let him know even my least kept secrets....He feels like a hard dusty book that sits on the shelf, never wanting to be opened ever, 'cause it might not be that interesting, but I do still want to know. Bertie st. clair thanks, that was my exact feeling, after a while of soul searching, I know I love her still, but I also know that we might not be soul mates as we first thought, it's excruciating going forward without her, I miss our talks, I miss her laughter, I miss everything, but I also feel a little free, I feel like I can, at last, stop biting my tongue, I'm a little hopeful, though the shadow of loneliness does take hold from time to time, I know in my heart, because the same sensation you had while you watched this movie with your husband I had when I showed it to her, I was there, wide open, and she was completely shut to improvement. I'm truly sorry you feel alone, it's a hard life, without regret or reward, but, as the movie says, it's in our darkest times that our true loved ones, dead or alive, are with us, and while I don't know you, and I'll probably never will get to know you, hug you or share a meal with you, please know that in my heart I feel for you and you will be in my thoughts. Thanks for sharing and feeling like you could, at least, pour some of that dread here... stay strong, God bless you.

A beautiful score for a beautiful film that the fuddy-duddies at Cannes panned just because. The soundtrack perfectly fit the storyline, acting and cinematography of a well done movie with a poignant yet uplifting message. Which brings me to my personal connection to the art; my wife and have surpassed our 5 year mark of being together. It has not been without its pain, sorrow and troubles, but we are here, in tact, in love, and with each other. No relationship / marriage is without some degree of dysfunction and pain; as long as it does not breach the threshold, it can still be repaired and returned to its loving state. The poor main character lost his wife after years of being on the rocks, then reconciled and salvaged their love; but then she passed. He still gets to be with her in her new form as the flower he found in the forest. I cry every time. I love you, Sydney, and our sweet Baby Melora.
