Ralphie's Jeep Is Back! This video took us a year to make!

.Ralphie's Jeep has been getting pushed to the back burner for almost a year now and with Holley Moparty coming up he is really wanting to take it. It needs a new fuel system, the pedals moved, and a new sprocket and chain. With our new sprocket size it should increase our top speed by 23%. This is the first video that Ralphie has done mostly by himself, hope you like it.

Ralphie, you might want to think about using a little oil on the tap when you are cutting threads. Makes the cutting easier and keeps the tap sharper. Just wipe it off when you put it away. Overall, you did a great job.

High fives to Ralphie for that fuel system! He's really progressing into a talented mechanic and youtuber! Couple points: I would've brazed a boss on the fuel can for the fuel fitting. The can is not very thick and may flex enough to loosen the fitting. Second, please don't use Teflon tape on fuel fittings. I know they make gas system Teflon tape, but still not advised. Better to use a paste like Gasiola that is fuel and ethanol resistant. Keep up the great work!

Great to see you doing the work. A word of warning though. Try not to put your hand/arm behind anything you are drilling. If the drill slips you could stick it through your hand or arm. I was about your age when I started taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together to see if they still worked.ha Great to see you doing this. Your fuel tank is called a Jerry can and is still used by the military today.

I recommend reversing the chain tensioner so it applies pressure away fro drive pulley. I believe applying pressure towards the drive pulley will put the chain into a bind and prematurely wear out the chain and pulleys. Good job Ralphie! I think it maybe a good idea to wrap fuel line with shielding material.

I just love that ole Ralphie! I would be proud to have a son just like him. He’s smart, handsome, sweet, funny, entertaining, talented and etc. He always makes me laugh about something! I just hope he stays the same he is now and doesn’t get in with the wrong crowd. With good parents, family, and the help of the Lord he won’t stray! Instead of water to clean the metal shavings out of the jerry can, tilt it so that the shavings fall into the bottom corner and use an extended magnet to collect them.

I've got to say at that age it's very hard to do long complicated projects like that fuel system and just work like that in general. But Ralphie did very good and not to mention videoing at the same time always takes way longer! GREAT WORK!! Oh and the way that seat is set up is a good idea that way you don't hit your back against the back of it. That would hurt nasty! But some padding would help too!

That tensioner's beefy, should be good for some trails. Ralphie remember to dab some grease(or used motor oil) on your clutch bushing, and drive chain, and make sure your engine and gear box is full of their fluids before you ride

@RALPHIE and Josh. Now all he needs is a brush guard and a trailer hitch and you can hitch a lawnmower on the back and he and the girls can do all the lawn care that the goats dont get lol. Honestly Ralphie you did a fantastic job. My wife will only watch a few youtube channels with me and im proud to say yours is one of them. Wish we lived closer would love to help yall work on things. I have an old 2002 Chevy S10 LS extended cab with the 4.3L Vortec V6 with 3 doors and jump seat with the 6ft bed. Im planning on painting and fixing the rust as the person b4 me didnt take good care of it. It drives like a dream. Only really thing i need yo replace is where the gas goes, its worm down, and any gas cap Ive purchased doesnt have a snug fit. Other then that and the seat knob missing its really good. Thank you for doing all the great videos and sharing your family and knowledge with the rest of us. Its great to see other like minded people in this world that share similar interests but also share their faith. There isnt too many of us left. Thank you again.
