Hey, buddy, I just wanted to add a little bit to what you were doing. In the video the reason why you might be going through so many of them is those actuator doors have to be in the open position as you're putting them back in because the actuators themselves, they would do a compleete 360 As they're turning The doors themselves inside the heating system doesn't spin all the way around. And you would need to calibrate them before you Sticking them back in and I think that might be your problem. That's what's wearing them out because, as it's spinning all the way around the Actuator door flap door itself. Doesn't spin all the way around and it's catching on the inside of there and it's wearing the teeth off of your actuators. What they're doing is just spinning inside the little cogs that the actuator goes in too.. What I found was easy as to do was before you put them back in to the heating system, plug them in and move the dials on your hater system. It's kind of hard because everything's gonna kind of gotta be plugged back in. But at least that way you can turn them on and you can calibrate them that way before sticking them back in.

bless your heart for making this video...and making it well. I have no heat for drivers side, on my 2012 ram 1500 (dual control system and center console) so this looks like the same truck. no one had a video for this. I'm hoping my actuator just needs replaced ie; the door is stuck open. I'm not getting any clicking sounds, just heat on passenger side, no heat for driver. THANKS!!!!

A great video good quality. I'm curious if you checked the blend door flaps the motor fits into, and make sure it's not binding? Other videos show that the motors break teeth off, which is either too much resistance or inadequate design strength of the motors. There are 3 blend doors and they all look like the same part? Thank you

I'm looking to find out how many blend doors a 2011 dodge ram has. My drivers side is cold and my passenger side is 20 degrees hotter. It's not the heater core I cleaned that.

When switching modes try not having the air flow to high turn it to as low as possible it will last longer

would this cause the ac to barley blow? my blower motor works just fine. when I start the truck everything blows good and hard, 10 minutes later the airflow begins to die down to almost nothing until I stop. after a few minutes of sitting the airflow will begin to blow hard again as usual. just wondering if this could be the issue. I hear no clicking behind the panel though. HELP its getting hot lol

Hmmmm...I am not sure. It does not sounds like the bled door actuator. Have you figured it out yet?

I know this is a little late. But maybe this will help you in the future. I had one that's doing the same thing as a matter of fact. I'm doing it right now and it's. There's 4 actuator doors on that thing. Total actually 5 because there's one on the very back side 1 on the top and 3 in the front. And sometimes when they go bad, you're not gonna hear them They just go bad. but if you're having the problem just like I'm having now, you've got cold air on the driver's side and warm air on the passenger, it's the one in the very back and the whole - has to tell apart. I know it looks like it would be easier just to cut a hole in the firewall and reach it thatplay but I haven't seen anything yet. That's been done like that. But I'm about to just do that myself instead of taking the whole - out.

@@726scooty what it ended up being was I had to remove the heater box all the way out of the truck this was on a full size Dodge 1500 the actuator doors were working they just wouldn't kick off so soon as I replace them I was good to go and you might want to also check I'm not sure what it is you're working on but sometimes the electrical system for the heater in your dash with your selector knobs for hot cold and ac it ended up being bad also
