I was a Chrysler tech in the 90's when they had the CCD bus system before CAN bus came out. I remember when more and more systems went to CAN bus communications. Chrysler had the best diagnostic scan tools beginning with the DRB2 then the DRB3

Great fix. Had a 2018 Wrangler with a similar issue the other day. When I say the other day, I mean techs had been trying to find it for months as it was an intermittent stall no com. The real problem was the owner had all kinds of stupid aftermarket stuff wired inside with the disassembly for install causing damage to connector pins.

Excellent find as usual. Great video 👊🏻👍🏻 I had seen damage to wires under the seat. Because people thru their empty water bottles under seat and when another driver moved seat it cracked connector and plastic seat extension bar . That bar breaking was the only reason I found it .

Topdon label for CAN C (H)igher speed and CAN A or B (L)ower speed. I know time is an issue but it would have been nice to see what codes were set in ALL the dead modules when they came back online. THIS is trivial but might have helped you out, there are YT Channels that show PICS of fuse and relay centers with all items installed, for your own library and a view in the video to share here on your Channel and future videos, a quick view of what is believed to be a fully populated fuse box and/or relay center would be great, no need to go out of your way to look at a box that does not concern this repair on the video but a simple statement that "THIS FUSE BOX SEEMS COMPLETE as all systems working, or at least not reporting a problem". Your video TITLE or description tells us which vehicle, maybe not the exact trim but HEY another trim may not have a trailer fuse?? Thank you for all your stuff Jake, cheers.

How do you like the Topdon scope?
@autodiagyt6 ай бұрын
It’s not as good as a pico but much better than the snapon. It’s pretty similar to the autel ultra scope from the little bit I’ve used one. To me it’s easier to pull this scope out and get the captures I need than getting the pico but if I need to do something complex or needed longer buffers and better detail I’d use the pico.
@automotiveinsight6 ай бұрын
Cool deal. I’ve looked into getting one, but haven’t seen a ton of videos with people using it so I’ve been hesitant. I’ve had good luck with other Topdon products so far. Anyways, thanks for the response and keep up the great video content!
@autodiagyt6 ай бұрын
@@automotiveinsight if I didn’t have a scope and I did have a topdon scan tool that is compatible with the scope I’d buy it. If I had pico money I’d get that first but I’d still get the topdon scope eventually just because it’s faster and works perfectly fine in 90% of situations.
