I guess I'm old school. I like quiet vehicles and motorcycles. My son has a Dodge Ram diesel and he modified his so it's loud, put a lift kit on it, put a chip in it and put a turbo in it. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 (2004) and he wants to "soup it up", but I won't let him. I'm glad you like the sound it makes. It's just not my cup of tea. I guess I just don't understand why some people like their vehicles to sound loud.

Good for you I am a ASE certified auto tech at the young age of 67 , you might trigger the engine light because the Mopar Cars and Trucks have a New Engine Powertrain Control Management System that's just a new word for the computer I have seen this happen there very funny and critical when you make a moidification will you void your warranty ? hope every thing works out down the road Joe

Yeah they said it's normal and no problem. But if there ever is a problem they would replace it.

Well it's been at least 2 years. Only the muffler is coated with rust but the manufacturer said it will not rust through, and if it does they will replace it. I asked them. I cleaned the surface rust off and sprayed it with high temp black engine paint. I should have done that when it was new. Still works and sounds great!

Hi, nice job, i like how it sounds, i have 2009 ram 1500 v6, i just changed the bumper to a dual exhaust bumper, there is any chance that you can explain to me or walk me through the install process? Is it easy to take my single pipe off and put the dual in? Thanks in advace

When you buy this kit it goes from the catylitc converter back. So you remove or cut your exhaust after the cat and install the duals. There are quite a few install videos on here.

How much did your fuel economy change? -- I put a oem exhaust on mine cause the truck I bought had no muffler but whatever, and the thing drinks like $20 in gas daily, before it would drink like $20 every 3 days ish, and that was with nothing passed my intermediate pipe.

I don't notice any difference in gas mileage. I usually get an average of 15 mpg or 22 on trips. My friend has the same truck and gets worse mileage. I think my bed cover makes it more aerodynamic and better on gas.

My current vehicle is a 94 Chevy step-side with the 5.7 tbi, it's got a muffler delete just past the cat, with a 2 way splitter, twin piped, with 20" chrome tips. Sounds good, but it's a old truck that needs a good bit of maintenance. Hope this Ram last a good while.

That's not dual exhaust , that's only dual tips . A dual exhaust has an exhaust pipe to each side , no y pipe or in your case y muffler . Single in dual out . There are dual in dual out mufflers which would be considered dual exhaust with one muffler .
