What, no drama and a bunch of hard runs!!! Nothing like watching a pro with the right equipment for the job. Nice job. I call it beer butt chicken. The Nodwell is impressive! Abs that kind of surface is exactly what she was designed for. I did notice you don't run flags, lights and signs when you're towing her... is she not considered "oversize" in Utah, or just not wide enough to need them? In Maine, anything over 8'6 needs the full kit with escorts called in at 12'6". She looks like she might be 10' wide?

Casey the Nodwell is a true work horse I always enjoy seeing that in action. I do have a question for you though. Are vehicles allowed where that guy ended up getting stuck? That seemed like a bad place to be driving unless you have the experience driving there

That's an old skidded right? I remember those back in the 80's even though we never had one, others were complaining about throwing a track if you're not careful. And for that reason they never caught on.

Casey, do you know what causes the majority of the whining noise on the nodwell when travelling at higher speeds, is it that rear diff ? . Without a doubt one would be hard pressed to find another type of machine that would be able to navigate that sketchy silt bed and be able to pull while on it. Would be interesting to see what sort of a mess the typical track system on a pickup would get itself into in that type of terrain, I bet one could get themselves into one world of hurt if one didn't watch it.

This is a seasonal lake, sure been dry here and it doesnt hold much if any water.

That crusted over mud is really, really bad news if you break through. I worked at a mine where one of the crews got a 992G loader and two 24H graders stuck trying to pull it out. The loader was taking a shortcut across a dried alkali flat and broke through about a half mile out in the middle. The worst part is they all sat in plain sight for days until enough cable could be bought and delivered to reach from competent ground out to the stuck equipment. I think the good Lord himself reached down and lifted that loader up to break the suction. They had a bunch of loaded haul trucks pulling on it and there was mud 6 feet up the sidewalls of the tires.
