Watching…Hope you are pushing forward! Im fortunate I have the 8hp70, but the last year…regear 3.92, FBO/Moe’s cam, Edge 3400, TrueTrac, a set of 305/50/20 streets and now about 2 hours work away from 6-8psi of boost from my TorqStorm. It’s a wild ride and Ive enjoyed watching your build, the ups and the downs!

I'm excited to see all this happen , I've got a 2011 ram 1500 5.7L sport 4x4. I've been thinking about doing the swap to 8 speed aswell. I'm curious to know if the boat shifter will work for the manual shifting...

If boat shifter you mean charger challenger lol yes it does but you’ll have to do what I did and go into the trans and remove the tcm and have it sent out and reprogrammed for the shifter

Which of the Ram groups are you in on Facebook, sir? I am currently finishing up my 4X4 swap on my 13’; if you have questions or want to go back-and-forth with some information, let’s talk. Big things are deciding on how you want to route your trans lines. And I’m assuming you will be using the SGA harness. Everything bolted right up underneath, I just needed an 8speed front driveshaft. I’m also using the 8speed dial. I also recommend pulling your dash and knocking out the heater core and condenser.

Can I use a 4x2 ram 8spd transmission if my truck is 4x4

@@javiermedinajr3607I’m not sure that tail housings can be swapped if it’s not a ram transmission. If it’s a ram 2x4 it should be able to be swapped with a 4wd trans tail housing but I don’t 100 percent know for sure
