Even though the battery is inside the van, under the floor in front of the passenger seat, there are jump start terminals under the hood, which are usually easier to access. Here's how to use them.

From 2014 through 2021, all north American market ProMaster vans with the 3.6L pentastar engine are mechanically identical, aside for the rear leaf springs that differ from 1500, 2500 and 3500. There have been a few parts (oil cooler, valve lifters) with newer revisions but they are all interchangeable. 2022 gets a new transmission and further upgrades to the 3.6L engine but even that van will have many similarities to yours.
