Wow! Soul-stirring, divine singing. Because Sri Ramakrishnan Murthy sang from the heart, his singing touched my heart. This is what singing with bhakthi sounds like. When one sings with bhakthi, bhaava automatically comes through. Also, he chose the most appropriate kaala pramaana, chowka kaala, to sing this kriti. A few vocalists have sung this kriti faster (in madhyama kaala), and so they were not able to bring out the bhaava of this kriti properly. I have no doubt that the three high class musicians here: Sri Ramakrishnan Murthy with his mellifluous voice, and Su-swara Sri R K Shreeramkumar with his swara shuddha and gentle bowing, and Sri Arun Prakash with his soft, feather-touch mridanga playing form a perfect team. (There is one more perfect team also: Sri T M K, Sri Shreeramkumar, and Sri Arun Prakash!) Just look at the expressions on the rasikas' faces in the audience: That speaks volumes. the genius of Ramakrishnan Murthy is well known and his guru Shriramkumar is another genius. Like Shreyas said below, it is ArunPrakash sir's genius that stands out here in this song. Most apt percussions. Kudos to the full set of the musicians on stage. It is a beautiful and mellifluous delivery.
