There is a old saying in TamilNadu. To attain Mukthi(Greater Bliss or Liberation). If you get birth in Thiruvarur (Thiyagarajar Temple) you get mukthi, If you get darshan in Chidambaram (Natarajar Temple Darshan) you get Mukthi, Just thinking Thiruvannamalai you get Mukthi, and If you die in Kashi you get Mukthi.

Yep i agree with what you said, Taj mahal is a lot overrated, there are thousands of temples in the Deccan and south which fails to get recognition and those are truly awesome since they were made thousands of years ago..
@venkat4167
@venkat4167 6 ай бұрын
Taj Mahal and Hindu temples of the South are completely orthogonal. You can’t compare them. People come to these temples for spiritual reasons and have a very important role in their lives. The architecture is a wonderful sight for tourism. On the other hand, Taj Mahal is a tourist place mainly.

They destroyed many but North India still has so many huge temple complexes. Odisha has some of the largest temples in the world like Lingaraj, Jagganath, Ananta Vasudeva, Konark etc. Gujarat has huge temple complexes like Dwarkadhish, Somnath, Modhera, Shamlaji, Palitana, Girnar etc. Rajasthan too with Ranakpur, Dilwara, Mt Abu, Jagdhish etc and Madhya Pradesh has some of the tallest temples like Chhaturbhuj in Orchha, Kandariya Mahadev, Sahastrabahu, Udayeshwara etc. Maharashtra too is famous for its grand temples like Kailasha, Kopeshwara, Trimbakeshwar, Gondeshwar etc. And brand new mega temples are being constructed like Delhi's Aksharadham, Kundalpur's Badebaba, Champaran Bihar's Virat Ramayan, Vrindavan's Chandrodaya and Ayodhya's Ramajanmabhoomi. And many old temples are being slowly restored like Galteshwar Mahadev in Gujarat, Siddhanath in Madhya Pradesh, Martand in Kashmir, Markandeshwar in Maharashtra, Kashi Vishwanath in Uttar Pradesh, Kesariya in Bihar, Bhand Deva in Rajasthan etc.

Wrong. Many great temples are there all over North India, Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and many other places. Some temples were looted for money. Anyway, there is nobody stopping us from preserving archaeological sites - government does not spend enough money, doesn't involve local people in preservation...

That temple is the biggest I've seen! I wish the new government to relax that restriction they have for foreigners! Being Indian can't be just a criteria to visit a temple or a vigraha!!!! There are murderers, Thieves, ppl who do corruption, cheat ppl who are also Hindus, does that make them qualify to visit the vigraha/ temple?? just that they are born hindu/ Indian, Ridiculous!

Great Video. A Small remark, To climb up the hill to the Top, if you are a fast one can take 60-75minutes only...when starting before the sun rises (around 0400-0430)...it is only one way up, no right or left, YET, it is very steep one and requires a Good Stamina. Enjoy the Joy.

With this video word is out bigtime. You can expect masses of unruly American tourists showing up and driving up the housing prices. I predict tailgate parties in the temple parking lot soon. Perhaps Melania Trump will open up a hat shop in town. But seriously, nice video and I enjoyed learning the history of the town.

This one is among your nicer videos. Short and Inviting too, despite that forbidding travel advisory of yours in the end !! Here’s some friendly advice. Ask one of your local friends to give you a crash course on How to pronounce common Tamil names and words as they’re spelled in English. It follows a phonetic logic that’s easy - especially if you’re comfortable with Spanish, Italian or German - and thereafter you’d be surprised your pronunciation of these words may turn out better than that of the average non Tamil Indian.

[Greetings from Northern California: Friday, 2/10/22] Via KZbin it somehow directed me to one of your videos last week when I 1st discovered you🇮🇳🇮🇳 I made a comment on one of your videos when some or most Indians eat with our hands/fingers at times; ever since then I’ve watched (or try to watch within the last year to current dates of your videos) When I watch Americans who travel overseas and/or live overseas for awhile, travel back and forth and/or permanently, this is what I look for personally: ADA disability access and safe cheap prices for people who are on limited income (or save some money in advance if people know they might travel within their country where they live or overseas/visa versa etc) I’m only guessing and assuming all travelers are able-bodied and are medium-low to middle-class to higher financial class who can afford to travel (I’ve only traveled within America: planes, taxis, Amtrak, Greyhound buses, etc etc) I’m born/from Kolkata and New Delhi, India myself before I got transferred to America as a kid who didn’t know English at all for a few years🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳❤️ I know most able-bodied travelers DON’T look for: ramps, push buttons, hand rails, elevators and the likes globally; it’s visually frustrating when I watch travel videos from all over the world especially India where I hail from, my HOMELAND🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳❤️ it brakes my heart emotionally when I don’t see any ADA signs posted anywhere (even where I live now; it’s getting better yes very slowly, but not fully equipped for all ages both young and old alike) In some of your videos you mentioned Austin/Pflugerville, Texas a few times, I have been there myself a few times and other parts of Texas too since one of my adopted ex-family members is from Texas herself; it’s a huge nice big state itself😀😀 If I never go back to India as a half tourist/half visitor of my birth homeland I’ll be disappointed but at the same time (because of ADA access and financial reason) at least I know where I came from (including did a DNA testing of my original blood line 3 summers ago since I have no family blood line here in America etc) I watch Indian movies listen music watch or read about India JUST to keep my INDIAN roots going within my mind body soul since my adopted family friends relatives acquaintances are all white while growing up in white-small town America upbringing and the likes!! I’ll be looking forward to more India travel videos from you and others like you who are so lucky to travel overseas anywhere…. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳❤️
