Been running nothing but the fuel filters from the auto parts store for 8 years in my 6.7 and at 194,000 miles I'm still on the original factory set of injectors . You don't need these kits to keep the truck alive.

The fuel filters on the newer trucks are better than the older common rail trucks that first came out in 2003.

Ya just need to change them at every oil change . For all my filters I use OEM Wix and or Napa and no others also I change my air filter at every oil change or at least blow out . I have a grading tractor business so I’m Always towing 10k-15k lbs and always in the dirt and dust so I change all filters every 7 Factory says ya don’t need to but I do plus I change my oil every 6k-7k miles and use Rotella T6 synthetic Or delvac syn. or equivalent. I don’t see why ya add that filter right next to factory one so now ya have 3 fuel filters ? Two at tank and one at motor ? I drive a 2016 3500 6.7

I got double filter in parallel, from WIX 2 micron, stock water separator before it, and 2 micron engine filter. I made 71k miles with it, and only replaced, because I run into another issue, so to eliminate thoughts, it was replaced. Usually 25k and filters get clogged, and truck won't move. So I assume it multiplied 25k by 4 roughly and nothing bigger than 2 microns ever make to injectors

Don’t delete you factory fuel filter Baldwin has filter that is 5 micron and your is 2 micron and you big Baldwin water separator and is also a 5 micron. So don’t delete your stock cartridge when Balwin has 5 micron to use and the water in filter with a light to warn you of water in your fuel or filter . More is better. My 05 3500 5.9 manual and 150K on the clock no smoke on a stock truck !

And I have a Fleece intank lift pump at idle 21 lbs and hood pull with trailer and drops to 18 lbs and neat part is one pump is hooked to stock wiring and second pump is wired with Fleese wireing harness with relay and fuse so if one goes out you still have 10-11 lbs of lift pump so it will get you home with no harm unless you have a 1000 hp motor you screwed. !!!

Love you guys that take the time to show just the smallest detail that needs to be done. Really helps me out so much. My truck has been sitting fir over a year now. Injector went out long story short got screwed by 1st two diesel shops so ran outta money just getting my truck back from quoting what’s wrong, not fixed man they raked me big time, but what can you do gotta get your truck back. I hate diesel shops, then my job overnight shut down no warning a damn good super great paying job, it enough hours in the day to work 5 jobs to make what I was making, then the virus hit to make job finding worse least my field of work. Threw my hands up been living w/o my truck but now gotta get fixed, draining the fuel tank, replacing the pos plastic end radiator(3rd one now was leaking) with a 3 row all aluminum tig wejded radiator old one was 2 row, got new water pump, new upgraded amp alternator, new oil, antifreeze, 2- new batteries what I’m buying next so I can get it to another shop so it will crank over if it will, didn’t buy new turbo hoping old turbo still operates. Need injectors or injector the shops told me if you replace one injector just do all 6, he’ll they cost 1,500-3,000 apiece. I gotta find a affordable diesel shop I can trust, I am scared of them and hate them now. Been raked overthe coals, I live in Keller, Tx if anyone knows a honest to goodness good honest reputable diesel shop please let me know do t k ow how you’d be able to tell me but frustrated as hell

Hey, I enjoy your vids. Just so you know as it looks like space permits on your truck for future reference, you can use a 1R-749 filter which is about 4" longer than the 750 so it'll provide more filter surface area. Also an even better filter is a 416-1225. It's a UHE (Ultra High Efficiency)

By the way extra filter without extra pressure will starve the high pressure pump from having enough Diesel fuel. Basically with extra filter you are just lowering your pressure and flow.

Cat filters are manufactured by Baldwin. These trucks have two fuel filters already I don’t see the need to add a third more importantly than adding a third fuel filter is to make sure you’re running a fuel additive to add lubricity to the diesel fuel is more important than adding a third fuel filter just my two cents

I know you don't have the BEAST anymore but did you have a seize or gull of the aluminum from the CAT threads and housing threads? I bought the same setup and I had to have it taken off and put in a vise to get the filter off it was bad. I ordered the Baldwin filter head and Baldwin fuel filter and had that put on. Now I am having leakage but that is a Baldwin problem there is no O or D ring for that particular filter but I believe it needs one but that is besides the point. Thank you for your response. I hope you did not have the same problem.

We did put a little antiseize on the threads & got scolded by many internet mechanics, however I never had a fueling issue or a problem replacing the filters. I used Baldwin filter too.

Probably a weird question but I was thinking if you do these mods to your truck then sell it to a dealer or trade in, what happens next? Does the car dealer put back to stock or not look and If a person buys it used and goes to change their filters probably going to be like wtf. Microns ratings is not posted on cat website. Resellers post false information to convince people to buy cat filters so that they can make money. Cat filters have no advantages over factory because they are made by fleetguard/cummins.

Sadly the CAT 0750 is not a True Actual 2 micron (Absolute) @ 99% filter - its actually closer to a 4 micron (Absolute) @ 99% - according to the new testing method.

@@gabewhisen3446 Cummins INJECTION PUMP TECH ADVISOR.... "ATF or automatic transmission fluid is designed for exactly that, automatic transmissions. Here are the properties of ATF and effects they have on a diesel engine when mixed with diesel fuel: Emulsifies Water - In a closed system like a transmission any moisture from condensation needs to be absorbed by the ATF to prevent rust from causing damage. In diesel fuel this will cause water to pass through your fuel filter/water separator and enter your fuel injection system. This water will come out of emulsion one the engine has cooled down causing rust in vital fuel injection parts, eventually damaging them. High Flash Point and High Viscosity - A high flash point makes ATF easier to handle without the fear of ignition. Being exposed to temperatures of 200 F, ATF need to remain viscous to protect transmission parts. In diesel fuel this thickens the fuel and results in pour injector atomization. The increased flash point lower the cetane level of the fuel. Both of these characteristics reduce the power and efficiency of the engine and while increasing emissions. A increased level of ash deposits will caused coking of the cylinder and injector nozzle, leading to engine damage over time. Friction Modifiers - Automatic transmission require a level of friction in the fluid for proper operation of the clutches and bands, so friction modifiers are added to the fluid. Friction in fuel injection equipment is bad. Detergents - Since service intervals of transmission fluid is quite long, the fluid contains detergents to clean internal components that may gum up over time. If a fuel system is suffering from varnish build up then these detergents will possible cure the problem but with all the other negatives associated with ATF your best bet is to use a diesel fuel conditioner designed for diesel fuel only."

Just a simple question. What would happened if you just removed the OEM filter from the filter housing after installing this? Would everything work right? I am talking without the delete kit..

Probably nothing if you have the CAT filter, but less unneeded crap on the engine is always better in my opinion. Most people run both filters.

The engine won't run without a filter in the housing, per the owners manual.

X2 on this mod. seems like we have the exact same mods and ideas! I am waiting to see how this works with the fleece filter delete kit seen as how you (and myself) are not running an aftermarket lift pump. You mentioned the fleece in-tank pump (i am leaning towards this) . Will the delete kit need an extra short piece of fuel line to bypass the filter?
