You know when you compare classic rock bands they all sound exactly the same and no one complained. (Ex: Foreigner, Boston, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Deep Purple, Styx, etc.) Why is it this generation calls every band a copycat if the voice and style is similar, that's kinda what it means to be in the same genre. And its the kind of voice and style people want to hear..And it's obvious they know good music (kurt being an idol to him) so they want to keep the legacy going, anything wrong with that?
@jenniferl700
@jenniferl700 7 жыл бұрын
Brandon Joda they tended to deny that in interviews, their preference was pink Floyd and pearl jam.. Music their parents listened to.. Their music also clearly showed that. The whole nirvana in pajamas label was funny at the time though, the lead singer with blonde hair, is basically where comparisons started and ended... But still, I think you deserve a slow clap

Even though over the past couple of years my taste for silverchair has dropped dramatically. I'm very appreciative over the fact that at least john's did performances like this before he started to sound like a forever meowing cat. This performance has such a high level of intensity! Besides guys don't blame Paul mac for silverchairs demise, blame Julian Hamilton. After all Paul did keys on spawn again. Julian wrote some of the songs off of young modern

I avoided Diorama back then, but I find it now precious! (But I'm still avoiding Young Modern, it's not for me; and "I miss you love", that Neon Ballroom song, , sooo extremely mellow for me that I can't relate it with Silverchair or any rocking ballad style, it's so much honey mellowed for me). Besides that, now I'm enjoying a lot that Dissociatives album too.

@@annelouisemaclellan485 ok well I've seen both live, kurt did nothing but bitch and complain, didn't want to be there. He was completely off key most of the show and forgot his own lyrics far too often, then walked off stage early. I'm a working guitarist of many decades and I can without question tell you he is sloppy and basic at best on guitar. Silverchairs show was nothing short of the best live performance I've ever attended....twice. That boy shows up 100% ready.
