i think anita and trev were actually brilliant, but it did unfortunately take away from what i thought joy was supposed to be i don't think that joy was a bad character, or was written poorly, like the fact that i wanted to see more speaks to how much i liked her, but the conclusion of her story felt lackluster to me, partly because we could've used more time with her, but also because the writing around the macguffin felt sloppy af, like... maybe it will make more sense if/when we get more from the villengard stuff, but honestly, it just felt very "power of friendship", which can be done well, but in this instance, i don't think it hit if i'm being honest i give the special a solid 8/10, but not for the main plot, the side plots and side characters kinda carried, it's an improvement on how i felt from all of s14 tho, all things considered, so i am very hopeful for next season

Couldn't have said it better myself, this special really just got me hyped for season 2/series 15. Ncuti is really coming into his own as the doctor and I have to agree, his chemistry with Trev and Anita are a big reason why I feel that way
