Boogie PLEASE get some running shoes and wear those whenever you go out even for 5-10 minute walks it's gonna make the biggest difference in the world its gonna be a whole new level, house slippers are not helping you AT ALL because they.. well.. they slip, so they encourage you dragging your feet. Running shoes, however, are grippy and they force you to lift your foot up and actually take a proper step so you can learn to actually walk again. Super proud of you, I think we all are.

If for some reason you see this boogie.... Get some of those rubber bands for aerobics off of Amazon (like just basic bands for stretching) And just practice stretching them between your hands and pull them as far apart... It's like the easiest excercise for just hanging out and watching TV or whatever... It literally fixed my arm that was savagely destroyed, like half the muscle in my right arm we're ripped off the bone and doing that little workout with the rubber bands was enough movement and pulling that it fixed it.. I know you don't have arm troubles but it's be an awesome workout for you to get started with
Jogging while vlogging...? Now that'd be so something!

Very proud of you Boogie!!! Great job, buddy! A lot of people are saying to get running shoes. I agree shoes are in order, but I would like to suggest a good walking shoe. Running shoes do not have the lateral stability that a decent pair of walking shoes have. Running shoes could "catch" on the outer edge and you could twist or break your ankle. Walking shoes are flatter on the bottom and have motion control and stability. By far, the best shoe for this is New Balance. New Balance have wider shoes if you need that too, but get them sized by a shoe person at the store, don't just buy online. The model I would recommend is the MW928 www.zappos.com/marty/new-balance-mw928 It comes in six varieties, all leather except one has some nylon on it. The leather is much stronger and will last versus a lightweight running shoe. Trust me on this, I'm a big dude who really researched shoes. New Balance is the way to go. No, I do not work for them! Good luck, Boogie!

@DefMunkyYT6 жыл бұрын
My most comfortable shoes so far have been New Balance MW577 walking shoes. Got them from Amazon for $57 or so back in 2016 and I'm now needing a new pair. I work in a plant with a concrete floor and am constantly walking all day, so for them to last that long is actually quite impressive. Plus when you wear a 14 EE it can sometimes be challenging to find a brand of shoe in your size. No store where I live has shoes that big. They all seem to stop around 12-13. I think I originally heard about New Balance when someone in my family was in the hospital and it seemed like all the nurses were wearing them.
@zombiesneedluv216 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the extended size range is something they are known for. I'm a 14 also, and yes, you generally can't find them in a lot of brands and stores. Also, a lot of their styles are still made in the US, although they do outsource some of the models.

You sir, are an inspiration! Just think how excited Sammy is going to get on the day you finish your walk around the block, he heads back to the house and you get to say "where you going boy? We're going round again!"

Honestly, you will never get stronger unless you do this. It's perfectly ok to start small, nothing to be ashamed of. It will get easier over time, and eventually you will be able to walk just fine, and it will feel amazing. Back problems come very much from sitting too much in chairs. Getting up might be painful at first, but it's also the only way to rid yourself of back problems.

There's something both emotional and awesome about this video. It's so great to see a person walking and being able to do stuff that they couldn't do before. I wish you all the luck at getting healthy, Boogie.

You should go to some sort of running shoe store and have them recommend a pair of shoes for you to walk in! I've had terrible knees my entire life and the proper shoes, or shoes with insoles, will make a world of difference. Wishing you all the best Boogie

True that, some decent well thought out trainers go a long way when it comes to even just standing up. Especially when you’re a little heavier set, gotta give yourself some support

I doubt you will see this, but this put a huge smile on my face. I have been dealing with my own struggles and today was a rather dark day, but watching this brightened it. I am proud of what you have done and are doing. Thanks for the emotional boost.

I’ve lost 80lbs with you my dude. Love your videos and I’m such a fan. Proper walking/ running shoes with support will help with back and knee pain and will prevent future injury. We’d all hate for you to get hurt when it could be prevented! Keep fighting the good fight!

Your knees and back will get better when you body get more used to being mobile. Getting better footwear will make a monster difference. But progress is being made which is great to see.

Yeah if u have good foot/arch support, that should help your knees and lower back a whole lot! Keep up the good work!

I third this, I used to wear flat skater shoes, and now I wear arched runners, they made a world of a difference for me.

I dont know if you have any parks with grass. But soft ground is way better for knees and back! (if it is hard on the heels, it travels up through your legs) edit: maybe you can walk in sand. That is also a great exercise for body and joints!
