Stallone really shot himself in the foot with last blood. Rambo 4 is the ultimate and only way to properly end the series. After everything his character had been through it was poetic to have him find peace and return home. Part 5 felt like a cheap studio churn out with a retired barney ross by comparison. His character did stupid things in that film that rambo would never do, its almmost like stallone forgot who the real character was. It also doesnt help that all thw other characters are so poorly written and under developed, just making a violent film for violence sake was a cheap shot, rambo 4 had lots of violence, but with time to bond with the characters it was a satisfying pay off. Part 5 has nowhere near the satisfaction.

Sucks interview 2008, original screen play pitch was about Mexico (Rambo 5, 2019) I can't believe they decided to still go with that idea and was a major flop in all the rambos. About a young girl going missing??! It didn't even surpass their own budget . They could have made him being recruited as a liason DOD/ CIA black ops project to fight off Mexican Cartels, but then that's "Sicario " Benicio del Toros movie. O scrap it entirely in the fire place and re-write a new story.

Yeah I know right, but I was still there in the cinema because this guy gave me entertainment and escape from brutal reality when I was a kid. What you would do? I always thought of smaller drama movie with big action at the end something like wrestler but with action pack last 20 minute, something like they actually did in the opening of Rambo 5 that was cut from the movie, flooding city during cyclone and ribers trying to Steal from his house or trying to get him because of the damage he did to some Vietnamese relatives or Afghans add night and rain everywhere, but that's not enough he has to fight the entire cartel. I was really satisfied about the ending of John Rambo (Rambo or Rambo 4 in Europe) he face the demons help the last time and went back to have some sort of life that was enough for me, same with Creed second Creed overstated his welcome.

He should have gone with the other idea that the military needed his help to join a team to try and take down genetically enhanced soldiers that were created that went rogue.
