5.0 should be forced new characters for everyone. Not a single carry over. That'll be a real test of RP. But no one will do that because it's content 1st and everyone likes to watch the characters they like. No biggie.

Nopixel 4.0 flopped because admins got too power hungry and were told to stop facilitating RP for only them and theirs.

I don't think anyone can blame the devs, the difference between 3.0 and 4.0 is insane. The problem was everyone was trying to speedrun power, it became grindy because nobody wanted to fall behind, everyone wanted to be first, even if they didn't know what first even was. I think everyone was anticipating a progression to a finale like 3.0 and wanted to make sure they would get the content first. The two groups that didn't care about being first were the ones that had the most fun, ie CG and Besties. The PD was a disaster and that chased a lot of viewers away. From there it was just people trying to be captain of the sinking ship until every group ran into some kind of issue. Besties continued and honestly I think they're the real winners of 4.0, just chugging along and having fun, they deal with drama very quickly which is why I think they have remained successful in 4.0. The rest of the server doesn't seem to care about avoiding fires, they just let them happen. Xqc lost his passion, if he still had his 3.0 passion he would have helped fix 4.0, instead he gambles and does his own thing.

The issue was and still is entire NP management. Buddha said so many times they have so many devs for 4.0, so many of them, they had to split them into teams. 4.0 was released and it looked like they immediately got rid of 99% of the devs because shit was cooked, waiting for fixes for weeks. On the other side 1st release of prodigy - there is a bug/scuff - it's fixed within few hours, for most time within minutes. Prodigy 2.0 - same stuff, constantly fixing bugs/scuff + working on new things entire time. But hey, Prodigy actually keep their devs in check, they are there to work, not play and fk around wasting most of the time gooning on DOJ freak offs...
