To be fair the only think really giving it away instantly is the shadow casting being a tad bit glitchy. Other than that it will fool anyone for not being IRL. The movement, the field of view and the texturing are top notch

As someone who shoots weapons like these IRL quite a bit, this game is pretty wild with its realism. The sound isn’t there yet (mostly discharging of weapons). Still very freaking impressive.

I don't think so. Big reason is this type of stuff, while very cool, is not healthy for children (which is a sizable demographic of BF/COD). Children exposed to something as real as this could seriously harm the brain. And before you start throwing out "In the past they thought Doom was real". No, this is incomparable. This is as real as it gets when it comes to realistic violence. And I'm saying this as someone who grew up playing BF.

Yeah it’s hella impressive. I’ve played for a couple of hours and the intensity of the firefights is insane. The most groundbreaking aspect isn’t the graphics to me, it’s the sound design. Absolutely terrifying!

This game has SO much potential to beat Call of Duty. It already looks this good while still being in an “Early Access” state. Imagine what it would be like once they’ve started adding a Story Mode Campaign, different modes such as Capture the Flag and Battle Royale, etc. IMAGINE if they add a CO-OP zombie mode.

This game has been in the works for months lol, It looked good before early access but now it looks so much like real life, i remember when I first discovered this game a few months ago, no one but a few small youtubers talked about it, but now its everywhere and its amazing to see how good the gameplay and graphics are, the fact it was created by 2 people 17 years old and 20 is mind boggling, this is gonna be so much more innovative than any newer cod releases coming, truely inspiring, cant wait for the release on june 7th.

I disagree that this looks like real life. It looks like I'm watching bodycam footage from a camera that is strapped to someone's face. You don't view the real world through a fisheye lens. The graphics are obviously great, but that's the new standard with UE5. I have a feeling this is going to be a fad for multiplayer games, but I think it would work well for a single player game, especially horror games. Of course I'm still going to give Unrecord a try when it gets released 🙃

Cam movement looks awkward...do we jiggle-wiggle all the time when we move in a fight ? I'm no SEAL but I assume even if plunging on the ground or taking cover, our head and sight-lines wouldn't move from left to right like they do in your video...otherwise, this looks pretty realistic.

Am I seeing right that the player character often moves their gun around with out the rest of their view changing, like in regular FPS games? How is that accomplished, what's the control scheme here?

So control scheme is exactly the same as your usual FPS game, it’s the “feel” that’s different. There’s a lot of inertia in the movement and your gun moves before your whole body does when moving the mouse around
