Ramin, to remove external noise from your room, place heavy items in the room, particularly in the corners. Anything metallic like tools, or heavier furniture, books, etc. Decorative cast iron objects and stones are good. I use lead flashing wrapped in cardboard and tape. Dense objects absorb sound waves. And most of what you hear is reflections rather than the original wave. Every sound wave is reflected about a hundred times a second within the room.

You need absorbers and diffusers, not metallic objects as you say. Lead doesn't absorb sound, common sense is missing in your comment. A small room like Ramin's won't require much treatment, some acoustic panels on the walls, inter mixed with one or two diffusers (slated wood panels) should improve the sound easily. I manage several hundred conference rooms. The sound does need improving, a more focused microphone like those used on some Bloomberg chat shows would help greatly.

Great video guys. I believe that AI can only generate code for a specified problem. However in real world applications the system is never initially fully specified. The specification derives from the system being developed. So a bit of a catch 22.

Miriam Margolyes & a Bond villain sat next to me once when I was in a restaurant at the base of Ben Nevis which was a bit bizarre. I figured they were pretty similar to normal funds except slightly less diversified in exchange for ditching certain companies, do you see a significant investment risk with ESG funds? I’m split close to 50:50 currently in my allocations

Highly informative and entertaining discussion between two of my favourite finance you tubers. My 11 year old is now very excited about me opening up a Junior SIPP for her and that she will tonight be hitting the 'go' button on investing in the 500 biggest US companies. The ability to do that and to look at the liklihood of big growth by the time she retires seems to have flicked a switch on her being curious about how investment works which was my hope in doing this. She wants me to print out a list of the companies she is about to invest in to show and tell at school! Thanks both for the inspiration and guidance. Hopefully both my young girls will be grateful for that in 50 years time!

Hi Ramiam🤪 Interested in hearing your opinion on how Vanguard want the best for their customers. Maybe a video on their pension transfer service? I initiated a transfer from Scottish Widow’s in late July this year and I’m still waiting for it to complete! A complaint has been raised but until it completes nothing is resolved. What really concerns me is the potential loss from the recent market rises. I chose an 80/20 fund and I have a feeling that I will miss out. I think they will blame each other. Next stop the Financial Ombudsman! Any help would be appreciated. J

I transfered my sipp from HL to Fidelity UK in 2021. It took a long time, I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen. But I'm sure it was HL fault they made excuses, more than once. I think they wanted to hold onto the money longer so as they received their 0.45% platform fee. I told them why I was leaving, because their charges too high. But I did an in specie transfer so not out of the market

Great content and very knowledgeable from these guys. I think the only downside is they never disclose their returns or portfolio content particularly Ramin. So to me you can only really take it all with a pinch of salt until we see Stella returns rather than just information 🌟 .

Knowledgeable, yes, but then so is CPT4. Andrei Jikk is a lot bigger on youtube as an example and is totally transparent. @DoYouKenThis Be grateful that your salary is that high and put more into your pension, work pension or sipp etc. That way if its the same as England you will get loads back in tax relief on your pension contributions. For example, you put £55 in and get back £45 from the tax man to make it up to £100. That sounds like a great deal to me , work that one out. Stop winging and be grateful that your salary is that high. Taxes are a necessary evil in a democracy, in a fair society in order to provide good public services which we all need healthcare etc etc etc. And it's only fair that those people who are payed a lot more should pay more tax. You could even get back all or more than you pay in income tax by putting enough in your pensions, but people on minimum wage or lower incomes can't get back any of the indirect, stealth taxes that are kiling us, and not getting any help from government unless we have children. Just checked, it appears the pension contributions tax relief works a bit different in Scotland also . But I'm sure it will be a good idea to make enough contributions to help mitigate your income tax payments, you should check it out, find out exactly how it works if you don't already know. I also saw you are at least lucky your council tax payments are being frozen in Scotland, mine went up by 6.7% this year in England and 4.5% every year since about 2010 and my wages not even keeping up with RPI inflation for yrs now. Just think you will be getting much better public services, healthcare, road repairs, schools, education, police, fire service, local councils and infrastructure etc

Let us assume I could have sold an ETF in October 1987 when the marrket fell drastically. With an ETF you can see what price you'll get so can avoid selling at a loss. Anyone selling an OEIC is selling blind; they have no idea what price they will get so could sell at a loss. Also, I have found it can take days for the transaction to go through. I will always prefer ETFs.

Innovation and new technology helps economies grow. It seems like all growth is due to debt and government borrowing since 2008. It is like cat and mouse between government debt and economic growth. The economy cannot grow forever and neither can government debt. The stock market is longer a reflection of the economy but how much debt the government is willing to borrow to prop up assets.

The thing about Elon is that yes he's interested in engineering, but he's begun to believe his own propaganda, so you get statements like " I know more about manufacturing than anyone else on the planet " when there are myriads of people in all the higher tech industries that have forgotten more than he will ever know. He's been wimbling on about the Tesla Semi for years while the Euro truck makers have just got on with the job and introduced Battery electric trucks into the market .

On the points that Damien made on the crypto markets, Those clowns get done for fraud and go to jail, which has nothing to do with the base layer protocols. They have no control over Bitcoin ...they were just bad actors in the space. Hence the market doesn't care. The analogies to JMP and Vanguard therefore do not apply here.

What i simply meant was sentiment seems upbeat at a time the news cycle surrounding certain big players in the space is negative. While i get base layer protocols remain intact you cannot deny crypto is sentiment driven. I understand that the many drivers currently are the impending halving, the spot ETF applications. I was actually really impressed by cryptos ability to keep keeping on in the context of these bad actors.
