By reinvent, you mean overly romanticizing Phantom and Christines relationship? When it's not supposed to be. Watch John Owen Johns and you'll see hints of him in Ramin's performance. Ramin's Phantom comes out as really abusive ( coz he shouts too much and grabs Christine neck) and ironically people love this Phantom the most. 🤷

You can't over romanticize their relationship, Ramin did it perfectly. Furthermore, I think the "violence" is appropriate and befits the character of the phantom. After all he is meant to be mad and overcome with love so personally, I believe Ramin depicted the character resplendently.

Gerard Butler and Ramin Karimloo will always be in my heart as the phantom. I grew up watching Butler throughout my childhood, so his raspy and gritty tone will always hold sentiment to me. Although Ramin's voice is so polished and beautiful, it is hard not to fall in love with his voice. He is a true phantom with his perfected voice and control.

Saw his Phantom back in 2006 in London, I remember in the beginning I was thinking it seemed that I preferred the tonality of the original casts, but soon his performance and expressiveness swept me over. The whole section around me was sobbing when he sang his heart breaks. He's fragile, crazy yet majestic at the same time. It's incredible and breathtaking. Afterwards I watched the show several times in New York, but none of them are even close to him. I consider myself lucky because I think he was s/b for Earl Carpenter that night.

I had the absolute honor of watching him play Gleb with the original cast of Anastasia and I could tell right off the bat how talented he was. I was caught off guard with how he quickly and easily became my favorite in that production. I still loved everyone in that, especially Vlad’s energy and dancing, but overall, Ramin had me throughout the whole performance.

I have become a bit obsessed with Karaoke and I was so happy to do Music of the Night yesterday and actually do so much better than I did back in 2019. In saying that there is still a lot of work to do. I really hope to get it good one day and so listening to it from different angles and different singers and takes and yes I loved watching this man. However, I am responding to your comment because you mentioned he plays Gleb in Anastasia? Would you say Gleb has a lot of Tenor songs? I ask because I really want to sing all the musical songs at Karaoke now but need to find in my range which for years I was told Alto but being in a Pantomime in 2019 they asked me to be Tenor and then I started to notice I can do Tenor parts easier...sometimes Alto is good too....I just love songs that all seem to be song in Tenor Range (I think). So would you know if Anastasia has songs I as a Alto/Tenor could sing? And now I need to go watch Anastasia if it comes to Vancouver, BC.

Played Jean Valjean in London Toronto and Broadway and has been nominated for both Tony and Olivier awards! Really got now is in the first revival of Funny Girl after 58 years playing Nicky Arnstein! Has played Chris in Miss Saigon. Anatoly in Chess. Che in Evita. Judas in JCS. And on and on. Was Phantom in the 25th Anniversary of POTO at Royal Albert Hall which is on film and has been streamed for millions during the pandemic. Has fans all over the world because he has done concerts around the world. Has a great and unusual back story if you find some interviews…..😘
