I worked at a Pawn Shop for 12 years. When we started getting into shoes it brought in the most INSUFFERABLE people ever. Shoe guys are tools. No one wants a woman's size 4 or Youth sizes.... They'd also get PISSED when we had to get them authenticated, even though "you got my word bro, just buy them."

@Mary_PoppinsYall Very ignorant take, from someone who has probably NEVER actually taken the time to research reputable shops to do business with . I assume you were irresponsible with your loaned items and lost them and it was the shops fault. Oh well, enjoy being biter ya old bag.
@jordanremington5 ай бұрын
@Mary_PoppinsYall They are actually great places if you're responsible and know how to manage YOUR finances and actually know what your item is worth. Like anything in life that involves money, YOU need to do research BEFORE you go in. I imagine you were the type of person going in with a 1999 Projection back TV wanting $1K because you paid that much not realizing goods depreciate over time. Pawnshops are not responsible for making up for you over paying for an item from somewhere else.

@@AsusanXT For the most part yes, but some actually get more valuable depending on how much it's been worn and if you have the original box. Yeezy's shot up in price when he had his meltdown. If we had the original box, laces, etc, we were getting 50%+ of MSRP.... Shoe guys make no sense.
@newporttaylor27025 ай бұрын
@Mary_PoppinsYallpeople say this and it’s such bullshit. You only say that because you SEE a pawn shop buy something for 100 and sell it for 220 but don’t realize that the TV you bought at wal mart for $900 cost them $100… Thats way worse than a pawn shop. “I want $200 for a camera I paid $250 for in 2010” type people don’t understand that the pawn shop is the ONLY way you are gonna make a single dime on that random shit item that would be taking up space making you a whole $0 a year sitting there.

The fact that you guys fail to realize is that sneakers are a business. Its not like you spend your money on a pair, you spend money you made from selling a pair, into another pair hopefully more valuable to increase everytime your money. That’s the reason why you see certain prices, it’s not like guys spends their job makings into sneakers, it’s a mathematical circle in wich you get a model, you sell it for more and then you buy a more expensive pair (or more pairs) so that you can sell them for more, easy as that
