There will never be a concert like Völkerball again. Sadly I wasnt there live. But I have it on dvd and it is pure love when I play it even after 20 years.

One thing I never see mentioned but I think is a huge statement in this song is that Rammstein is ALL about the fire, it's what they're known for, but there's no pyro in this song in any of the live performances I've seen. It's all bright colourful lights and a ridiculous amount of confetti (in red, white and blue naturally). It's showy and glitzy, fun to watch, but without any 'real' substance behind it (compared to the weight and bulk of the props used in just about every other live Rammstein song). Considering how much work they put into the visuals, props and stunts in every show there's no way this isn't a very deliberate statement.

Nothing compares to the Völkerball Nimes gig in terms of the audience! 🤘🤘 A suggestion mate. Recommend acknowledging the person who requested the song. Some reactors do it. It reckon it'll encourage more of subs to request songs.

The song is not political. According to the band, it is about the cultural influence the USA has on the rest of the world. The start of the Iraq War was one of the reasons why the band decided to create this song.

I recently read that they were not allowed to play the song in the USA. But they did it anyway and had to pay a $1 million fine. I don't know if that's true, but I can Imagine it.

Here the US foreign policy is criticized by Rammstein (not the US-People!), which I can fully agree with! However, I find the Text about it very harmless, especially by Rammstein standards! I would have liked more! (I hate US-Imperialism!) For me, it's one of the Songs I don't like that much.
