You can't go wrong if you down stroke everything heavy, unless its ridiculously fast. Just have to start very slow to teach your hand the pattern. Or do you mean something else?

the strumming pattern isn't easy to catch even with the speed slowed down, it did help explain why my slide sounded off, but it looks like when there are 3 or 4 you strum down then up until the last is played, for example. down 0 up 0 down 0 ----------------------------------- 2 2 2 is that correct?

I hope this makes sense: The 8th notes are downpicked while the 16th notes are alternate picked. So, for example, the first measure is: Down Down Down Down DownUpDown DownUpDown. I might make a short video showing the riff at a lower tempo.

@@KevinBalke if I’m understanding correctly I’ve been doing that or similar, a slower video would be helpful, this song looks really easy to a beginner, the much more going on here. 😂 the beautiful people I think is played down up down also on 0,3,0 0,6,0 parts also, at least it sounds better/right. Only reason I mention it is they are both deceptively harder than they appear.
