This video is laced with cross references everywhere. Marilyn Manson, James Hetfield, even their own stuff from "Sonne" with Snow White, the Moon Scenes from "Amerika", the fat suits from "Keine Lust", mountain climbing from "Ohne Dich", etc. It's awesome. Also, this was revealed to be recorded after the band almost broke up, this song is about how their bonds are strong, a song about friendship.

I Also like that little detail that Till maybe faked his death to get away, but still ended up sending them a post card.. Maybe to symbolize that even if he wanted to leave, he would still seek back.

Can you please react to the making of Haifisch. That's so cool and interesting and of course funny 😂 The lyrics are about cohesion, love, loyalty within the band but also to the fans and they wanted to make the video totally opposite. It's absolutely brilliant and when will you see Till as Snow White spanking Paul 😂I think if one of the boys wants to stop, there will be no more Rammstein. They are all brilliant at what they do and are irreplaceable within the band

They just suspect each other of killing Till, but obviously nowbody didn‘t kill him really. Thats also why Reesh hit Paul, because he thought Paul killed his friend. It means that the whole Rammstein thing would not work if one of the six would quit. Got this from the corresponding making of. The video is so clever and funny. Everyone is at Till's funeral and everyone THINKS of the other that they killed Till in ways that past videos have shown. Till no longer falls off the cliff as originally shown by a self-inflicted accident, but the rope is cut. And so on. And because everyone suspects everyone else of having killed Till, they end up fighting each other. The whole video is an easter egg of past videos. And here it is also particularly ingenious that the video actually shows the complete opposite of what is sung about in the song.

Till's "death" upsets the equilibrium of the band and all of the remaining band members believing that one or the other was responsible. This then leads to simmering resentments that would normally be talked out to come to the surface hence the Paul and Richard fight ( two guitarists fighting for the limelight) which then gives free rein for Schneider and Olli to start fighting. Poor Flake tried being peacemaker but to no avail and the rest is history. Proof that Rammstein only work together as they are. Genius video from Joerrn Heitman who has also directed videos such as Ich Will, Radio,Auslander and Dicke Titten.

I definitely agree with others in here saying that you need to watch the Making Of. You'll see that while it's not "real" fighting, they still roll around and get dirty. Only difference being that they're laughing the entire time.

Great work, as always! They accuse each other of killing Till. Sometimes the subtitles distract you from details in the video. You should actually watch videos twice. Once with and once without subtitles.

Just throwing this in, as I did not see someone mentioning it here.. the chorus is areference to the "Dreigroschenoper" (The Threepenny Opera in English) and the song "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer" (The Ballad of Mack the Knife) by Bertholt Brecht, a famous German poet and playwright, mostly during the Weimar Republic. They will probably record a new album next year, as they're taking a big break of touring after years supporting the two last albums. They would be back to their usual frequency of album release (1995, 1998, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2009, big hiatus, 2019, 2022, 2025?)
