Rammstein are a product of the cold war, soviet Germany and being born basically prisoners of war behind a wall which they had nothing to do with causing. I'd say they have a right to express themselves however they feel and if it offends, so be it. We are blessed to have them as artists and I think even God himself gives them a bit of room knowing what they've been through. They are good souls. Damaged, but good men.

Rammstein lyrics are good and provocative. Love them or hate them for it, extensively, sexual abuse, violence, BDSM, homosexuality, incest, drugs, necrophilia, sex tourism, cannibalism etc. no topic goes unaddressed.🤘👌👍💥

Los has multiple meanings. As a suffix, -los, is pretty much identical to the English suffix -less. I personally don't know of any difference in either language as a suffix. As a stand alone word, it's more along the lines of "go!" in the "ready, steady, go" variant. Buuuut, if you add it not as a suffix, such as in the first stanza, "they are Godless" you also can say it as "sie sind Gott los", "they got rid of God". Again, this is only dependent on the pause between, or rather the lack of contraction of god and less. In this case that could mean that, from the perspective of Till they finally got rid of all the insecurities built into religion and belief in an all powerful being controlling our lives either directly or indirectly. Very controversial, just as always with Rammstein, but also thought provoking.
