I was in the Ciudad de México concert last year, they had 6 towers throwing fire, also the stage is waaaay different and way better, you should see that other live version, new stage is crazy, one of the best experiences ever watching and listening to this song live

Rammstein wrote this song for the Klitschko-brothers as the walking music into the ring, but they decided otherwise. It's the best live performance, I've ever seen. I see the Band again this summer in Berlin 🤘😎

Last summer in Oslo, Norway I watched a Rammstein Show with 60.000 other people. Me and my friends stood way back in the crowd. One of the flame throwing towers was like 20 meters from us, and approx 20 meters up in the air. But when they count in the chorus of Sonne (ein zwei, drei, vier, etc), those flames REALLY heated up the surroundings. it was Effing insanely brilliant.

This song was written actually as entrance music for one of the Klitchco brothers as he enters the boxing ring but it was deemed 'too heavy' by his manager so they released it in their album they were producing at the time. Hence 'and the world counts loud to ten' They never reach 10 though, its whats known as the standing 8 count. Plenty of other boxing references in there too, the music video version is fascinating to watch and is a fun story.

You should also watch the official video of this one, I usually recommend the live versions but some of the official videos are just way too good to not watch. Also, "Tuomas" gets spanked in the official video by Snow White. By the way, the part that sounds like a haunting voice is played by "Tuomas" on his keyboard, aaaaaand is also the keyboard outro to the Deutschland video. But yeah "Tuomas" was great in this one as always. I like "Tuomas". (Just giving you a hard time lol)

Started listening to Rammstein around 2000 when I was 8 or 9 in my dad’s car, now more than 20 years later I finally got myself and my old man some tickets for their tour in July🎉🎉 it’s gonna be awesome, one of the points on my bucket list, to see them live with my dad!👍🏼

I've seen that you react mostly to live performances, but RAMMSTEIN are Artists (capital A) in every each way their videos especially. I recommend: 1. Ich will ( I'll be very interested to try to get the meaning) 2. Du Riechst So Gut (1998 version) - although the live version is quite impressive too 3. Kaine lust (Flake is shining in it) 4. Haifisch (funny recap of the band's history to the moment) Also if you want to learn to pronounce the band's name right - Rammstein - "Rammstein" (from the soundtrack of David Lynch's Lost Highway) could help.

if there's one song one should experience live it's this one, the show is insane, I've seen it 4 times and when they pump out what seems to be every ounce of fuel they got for the flamethrowers at the very last part it's just overwhelmingly amazing. I also love the live version so much more cause they finish on the main riff which I think just gets your adrenaline flowing one last time.

Fun fact 1: The Klitschko brothers considered the song "too heavy" to use. Fun fact 2: There is a rumor that for the video clip the band was considered to impersonate the crew of the Enola Gay, the bomber that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, and the phrase "here comes the Sonne" was the glow of the detonation.

Sonne is Vitali Klitschko. So the whole text makes sense. It was a commissioned work. Klitschko wanted a Rammstein song for the march into the ring. But was probably too hard and so it became a top hit for Rammstein itself.

The soprano vocals are taken off of Spectrasonic's "Symphony of Voices" sample library. They credited it in the song info on the album credits. The song was commissioned originally by a Ukrainian boxer for his ring entry theme.

Thanks, nice reaction! ♥ This is my favourite version of "Sonne" - although I have always mixed feelings about this particular video, the person doing the editing seems to hate pyro and hardly any pyro was shown, while cross-stage fireballs joining in the centre are spectacular as hell. But the part starting at 6:26 is unique - usually we would have drums, guitars AND "voice" part by Flake. However, Flake seemed to have screwed something and didn't kick in, what makes this drum&guitar "solo" extremely powerful ♥ Nowadays, "Sonne" brings absolutely all pyro on board and is extremely spectacular... and hot, no matter how far from the stage you are 😃And their new stage with its lighting system is doing a great job, too. Rammstein Live Recording channel has high quality videos from the much crazier 2019 show. This song was written for Ukrainian heavy weight boxer Vitaly Klitschko (hence the counting to ten). Klitschko was one of the greats of boxing 20-ish years ago. He is also a pH.D. and today... Mayor of Kyiv. A good man and someone worthy of respect. Sadly his promoter found it too hard, so he never got to use it.

The song is an about addiction or an abusive partner, the power and glory of the beautiful sun, but too much will hurt and kill you. You can't really ever reach out and touch it, it's too distant and would sting but you want to. Both majestic and dangerous. The OG music vid shows Snow White being abusive to the Seven Dwarves, who try to appease her and keep her addiction afloat. the lyrics make a bit more sense if you know that the song was originally planned and made as the entrance theme for wladimir klitschko, former heavyweight boxing champion. when till refers to "and the world counts to 10" it represents the refs count when a boxer get knocked down, and with the "sun breaking out the fist hitting your face" refering to the hard punches that klitschko used to throw out. but when klitschko management rejected the song (as they state it to be too aggressive and not fitting for wladimir), rammstein still released the song and they had to came up with a different idea and backstory for their music video, as the original intention was declined.
