The song translates as Hunter's Greeting/Hail. It's a traditional greeting that German hunters would give each other before they went off on the hunt. The song can be taken as literal about the thrill of the hunt and obsession with hunting animals but the song can also have a deeper meaning of a man hunting women for pleasure, as there's a lot of metaphors and symbolism in the lyrics that Till always uses in songs

This was a very interesting song, which I think could have several different meanings, one I think being the hunter getting the thrill of the hunt. Rammstein, yet again does not ever disappoint! Why do they always translate "Schweiß" (sweat) to blood? And also in Sonne they translate "laut" to quite, which is the complete opposite.
