Hi, great reaction! Zick Zack is a silent banger! You'll find out on live show - this song is really powerful on stage! And YES! Rammstein makes you want learn German! In my case it was easier, I had German in high school and just listening to Rammstein helped me refreshing my almost forgotten abilities 😃Now, with just a slight help from google translate, I'm able to listen to German TV broadcast without missing anything significant - and watching Rammstein videos is MUCH, MUCH more entertaining! The key is that when you watch German song with English subtitles, your brain gets confused and thinks in English. Only once you understand the original lyrics, you can switch your brain to German thinking and suddenly everything is so clear and obvious. Fantastic feeling, worth spending months on learning 😎 Have a nice day! 😁

I have always been interested in the German language and when I saw and heard Rammstein 😍 for the first time I was in love 💕 I am currently learning German...or really I was already learning a little bit of German but I didn't get serious until I discovered Rammstein 😍..so yes go for it!!! It great to actually hear a song or see some German words and actually understand what they mean.... I'm barely in the beginning level but I already know enough to where I can spot some incorrect translations in a few Rammstein songs🙂❤️

I was first introduced to Rammstein in 1998 by a guy from Germany that I used to play games with online and I was instantly hooked. My school had just recently gotten rid of their German Language program, so I started learning German on my own using the limited resources that could be found online in the late 90's, and also learned as much as I could from the foreign exchange students we would get from Germany. So, I wouldn't say that wanting to learn German because of Rammstein would be out of the ordinary. Currently Duolingo is probably the easiest way I've found to learn German, though it's not really meant to give fluency in the language, but more of a solid base so you can continue to learn the language through media, conversation, etc. After 24 years of listening to Rammstein I was finally able to see them in concert over the weekend in Minneapolis for their stadium tour, and it was the best concert I've ever been to. I would definitely suggest seeing them, if you can, as this tour might be the last time they come to the US for a tour.

Great response with great reflections. And yes - we grow old together kit our friends and sometimes feel like we hardly change. That is beautiful!

I love your sentiment about age. As a young person I’ve worked with much older people who are completely plastic surgery free and are still very beautiful in their 60’s, 70’s. It’s confidence, energy, a nice smile. I think working out and taking care of your skin and hair helps but no one needs plastic surgery and you’re right we are programmed to find people our own age attractive as we age. It’s sad that society is fixated on youth. I think it’s worse in countries like America, Australia, Canada than in Europe but Europe is catching up.
@oldguyreactions2 жыл бұрын
Yes...exactly! I get accused of not being old sometimes. But, I am...I just like to work out and take care of myself. I see people my age sometimes and think they are 10-15 years older than me. So, really it is about just being natural. Maybe I am wrong...but it is what I feel.
@clarel34472 жыл бұрын
@@oldguyreactions Yes for sure. I’m definitely not against plastic surgery as I’ve had it but in saying that I’ve always stayed out of the sun and eat very well. My mum is over 60 she’s never done anything to herself and she’s got a six pack and great skin ( she is super healthy) . To me being healthy is what makes someone radiant as they age ! Good on you, it’s true. My dad doesn’t take care of himself and he looks 15 years older than my mum ( he’s only 2.5 years older )

@oldguyreactions2 жыл бұрын
yessss, exactly. I do all the time. It is so interesting. I can see a movie star acting and see the kid in them. Sometimes it ruins the movie for me because the character they play doesn't match with the way I see them. If that makes sense.

There is nothing strange about what you said, at least to me. I am super young but I find older people beautiful. When I see people so stressed up about looking young I don't understand it - maybe I will later in live, who knows. but I hope not. I don't like plastic surgery for mere 'beauty' reasons because I feel it has nothing to do with beauty but with social pressure alone. I have never seen a person who had multiple plastic surgeries done looking actually good and the more people do the more uniform they look. They look literally the same to me, loosing all personality and what is more, loosing their past because that usually shows in people's faces when they get older, right? You can see if a person laughed or frowned a lot or managed to struggle threw bad times. You can see where a person lived and whether they are an outdoor or indoor person from how much sun their skin was exposed to and so on. And all that history makes older people look really interesting and even desiderable to me [not necessarily sexual, I like people my own age, but in a way that I think 'I want people to see who _I_ have been when I am that age'. I hope that makes any sense ^^'] I learned German in school but I know exactly what you mean! Japanese music made me start learning Japanese a while ago and music helps me with learning English as well. Listening to music in other languages than your mother tongue is really nice because it opens a door to the heart of another culture - language reflects so much of a peoples' sense of self and it's really fascinating. I actually feel sad how many bands sing in English nowadays because [regarding bands fron non-English speaking countries]] no matter how good your English is you can never express yourself completely right in a language that isn't part of your everyday life and subsequently of the feeling/topic you want to sing about.
@oldguyreactions2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it all makes sense. You are right...there are bands out there that sing in English and cannot speak it. That taints the emotion of the song. How can you create an emotion in a different language if you do not even know what you are saying? It is impossible. So glad to listen to Rammstein in their mother tongue. I can feel the emotion!
