I know for a fact you aren’t a fighter based on how ignorant you are. You probably heard that bs quote somewhere and thought it was legit. That’s absolutely not the case. You need to be honest with yourself or else you’ll bite off more than you can chew

Yes he did, He has 7 submissions on his record. 3 rnc 1 armbar 1 to injury and 1 to punishment. If you watched his fights in Pride not just the UFC and his earlier fights in GC. KOTC and Dangerzone you'd see he used to mix his attack up with wrestling, muay thai, boxing and submissions. The guy trained with Colin Oyama a sick Muay Thai coach and Dean Lister an elite BJJ trainer when he was with Team Punsihment and Team Oyama.

It's easily one of the most dangerous techniques in grappling, most people don't have time to tap fast enough unless you apply slow pressure which won't happen during a fight.

It's just something many older fighters have in my eyes. the guys like Wanderlei,Rampage and some others have. They fought so much on the highest levels of martial arts. Imagine 15 of more years of martial arts fighting take a toll on the body. even with pro training and diets. Also injuries from the past can have a factor combined with the age. i'm not suprised older fighters are kinda slacking in the octagon from time to time. But it's a normal thing. it's life.

Im gonna do some thing ppl usually dont do on the internet. Im gonna say that i think you might be right. but my question is once he has taken a fight why does he not put it on the line. He mentions that he slammed a guy in Japan and it took all the energy out of him. Would a slam have taken all the energy out of the old rampage ?
@MsMarc1234

I understand. My point is that there is no worse injury, and that kick is designed to eithre cause that injury, or make people worry so much about it, that they cant fight. That is why Vitor pulled guard...

word, those are scary man if push goes through get ready to have your knee aiming the wrong direction, hopefully they'll make em illegal before someone gets hurt.. (if you don't agree next time you are at the gym get a buddy to gently try one on you and let me know)

the knee kick shoudnt be made illegal because its a good tactic to keep an opponent from closing the distance on you. its kind of like a front push kick except lower down.
@mrgohanlovesvidel
@mrgohanlovesvidel 11 жыл бұрын
you're right about arm bars and knee bars being just as dangerous but at least you have the choice of tapping before it hyper extends too much. if you don't tap and your arm or leg snaps then that's your call. the front knee kick in other words, you don't have a choice whether or not letting it get injured, it just happens. it can hinder your knee useless and can end your whole career. hell, you may not even be able to walk if your knee is hindered. like the guy said, it's basic common sense...

true but after your last comment i had been let it go and dropped it thus the "then be my guest" comment. i wasn't discussing the Machida vs Rampage fight anymore. i was giving my opinion on the scoring of leg kicks in general. a new topic which i feel strongly about. trust me, this was my last comment. i'd rather let people believe what they wanna believe then go back and forth in the comments sections all day and night.. trying to impact a random strangers opinion online isn't worth the time

Check his records on Sherdog. He Has 7 submissions on his record. 1 kimura, 2 rnc, 1 armbar, 1 submission to injury, 1 to punches 1 to knees to body, Oh by the way. The ufc was not the first mixed martial arts promotion, Pancrase uta livre and vale tudo have been around for almost a century combined. Vale Tudo has been around since 1920.

Agreed, you put that elbow into someones eye socket and squash goes their eyeball. Ground and pound ok. Well actually I don't really like elbows overall, as they often can stop a really good fight on a huge gash. They are just nasty, just like these knee kicks. Ouch

Well, we are not sure about Jones' chin because we've never seen anybody able to hit it. But to just be convinced Dos Santos would floor Bones is kind of like writing him off. Jones' stand up and movement would cause JDS some problems, but I think JDS would ultimately get a decision.

Well Ryan Bader is definitely no slouch and Rampage came in unmotivated and out of shape for that fight. My point is he's not necessarily losing his skills as a fighter, but rather like he said he lost the passion necessary to succeed at the highest level in this sport. I hope he bounces back strong and starts smashing people again. Rampage.
