Rampage World Tour is a video game released in 1997 and is the second game in the Rampage series. The game was developed as an arcade game for Midway Games by Game Refuge Inc. designers Brian Colin and Jeff Nauman, who conceived and designed the original in 1986. It was ported to the Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, PlayStation, Microsoft Windows and has been re-released on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 as well as being included in Rampage: Total Destruction.

I think the graphics were meant to look dated to give it that retro arcade look. Rampage is a childhood favorite of mine. Universal tour was fun to.

Yes, this game isn't pretty to look at and yes, the sound is lacking. But man, this game is fun! This is a game that sits proudly in my collection and I still play it from time to time. (Yeah, in short bursts.) Now that I have kids of my own, it's a game we come back to often, actually. It's simplicity and instant action is appealing to my children, and I'm just happy to see them enjoy older games.

On this aspect, I give the developers some slack simply because there are only 3 monsters. Now maybe if they created a 4th monster for the console version that would made sense.

One of my friends who used to live next door, had Rampage: World Tour and that was one of our go to games for multiplayer fun. I remember my brother and I would go to our friends house, and spend about almost an hour playing it. We would kick each other in the nuts, just to mess with one another (in the game, of course) before seriously wrecking buildings and eating people. It's been almost 20 years since we last saw him. But man, this game brought forth so many wonderful memories. This is another game to add to my collection.

This game was the perfect rental title. You knew exactly what you were going to get, and if you got bored with it you weren't out the full price of a game. Also, you didn't have to drop coin after coin after coin in the arcades to keep playing. I love Rampage.

I remember playing this game as a kid. Still got the cartridge and I remember playing the Arcade version in Spain too. Years ago, I sat down and completed the game on my own. All 120 days including some of the bonus levels without stopping except for the occasional breaks. The bonus levels are kick-ass in design when compared to the regular cities.

I've always loved Rampage. It was the game I always ran to first in the arcade. I spent hours playing the great Sega Master System version back when I had one. When I found World Tour a few years ago, I was happy as a clam. The graphics look great to me :D I chose the PS1 version of World Tour due to better sound and I like the crispy look of the PS1 sprites. However Universal Tour on N64 is awesome and I want to get it. IMO it beats the pants of the PS1 version just for the music alone.

The original NES Rampage is still my #1 betting item. If someone wants to bet me and they lose, they have to play the game from beginning to end. No bathroom breaks or anything till its over. There are things worse than death, this fits the criteria . The person having to play it becomes an interesting character plot study. Its like the game starts to become to painful to play. When givin the alternative of dragging your sack across a mile of hot coals and broken glass starts to become the better option, you know you've found the ultimate form of torture. I've damn near pissed myself laughing at the poor bastards having to do this. Good times...Hmm, might make a good you tube video.

Back in my day, this was one of the most popular rentals me and my brothers would pick up for the weekend and that's how I think the game is best played. In a small session, saturday night, with all of your buddies as a warm up for the heavy hitters like Goldeneye and Smash Bros. I give it a 6 out of 10. Slightly above average.

I got rampage for nes and felt that even as an nes game it was repetitive and got bored with it quick so knew to pass on it when it was on the 64. At first when I have heard of this game, I honestly thought that this was a 3D platformer instead of a boring looking 2D game and a violent 2D game also. I have never once played or heard of this game at all until a few years ago when the movie came out with Dwayne Johnson and man is the movie so so much better than the game here. Not only does it have Dwayne Johnson, but it has the gorilla smashing buildings in live-action form and the military is trying to stop him from doing so. Not to mention in this game (or at least in this review of the game) I didn't see a single sign of the wolf or crocodile like in the arcade version or even the movie so again the movie wins between both the arcade game and the N64 game because it's live-action violence, there's no lag or boredom (because it's a movie and not a game), and it has Dwayne the Rock Johnson who used to be a wrestler!

I've always liked the Rampage games, but I don't last very long at them. In particular, I have trouble attaching to buildings when I want to and I can never seem to keep my health up. I had some fun with the N64 games. I've never played the arcade versions of any Rampage game, so I had no expectation as to the graphics. I thought that they were OK, especially considering that I've only played home versions of the original game before. One thing though; Sometimes I'd be on the side of a building, a human would pop up in a window on that side and start shooting me, but even though they're in the window closest to me, they'd be on the far side of the window and I wouldn't be able to reach them. So I'd just have to ignore them and let them keep shooting me, with no way to get rid of them. I found that kind of unfair. EDIT: Maybe that happened in the second game. They've kind of blurred together in my memory.

This game is repetitive really repetitive, but it's so simple and straight forward that is addictive just like the arcade games at the time the first rampage was released, plus it's always fun to destroy everything in your sight and the multiplayer it's another strong point to this game.

It was mindless fun, every time I smashed a window I wondered what would be in there for my char to eat or smash, as the lvls went on I loved seeing the new things trying to kill me. I liked playing with another friend but I perfed to play alone sometimes just so I could smash everything. This game is good old fashion mindless fun, and I love it. Yeah by time the 32/64 bit era started I don't think people were all that keen on arcade ports without much more to offer outside of the main game. Well other than fighters. But yet trying to update the game could have (and judging by most previous attempts would have) ended up with a game that only somewhat resembles Rampage. Kind of a pickle I must say.

I traded a friend at school a game that was way, waaaaay better than Ramoage simply because I had the same 2 or so games for years and needed something new. I remember instantly realizing the game wasn't as good but by then you have to deal with it. I alsj remember ot being better and better and better rhe more I found myself playing it and uncovering all the little easter eggs and mastering strategies until I beat it. Very solid game, but not something you should compare to Mario 64, Starfox 64, Kirby 64, etc.
