So many brilliant jazz musicians started in church. Those who can create such wonderful music prove that we are indeed made in the image of our creator God ❤

My idol, Ramsey Lewis, just completed my yearning for the meaning of life. Dear Ramsey, I would like to add another definition to your great words of wisdom. “ Art is human emotion through a technique “- from my music teacher. My mother brought an album home of a piano player who was named after an Egyptian Pharaoh. It was 1966, I never heard the piano say words- pianos have half steps only, how in Gods name could a pianist do this? A country piano player, in his own way, Floyd Cramer, played with a similar technique, and wrote some cute tunes. Anyway Ramsey, I copied both your styles. You, however, motivated me to become a public school music teacher, and moonlight playing piano in restaurants and nightclubs for the next fifty years. Thanks for making your piano talk to me. ❤

Ramsey Lewis is awesome. He has more funk in his left hand than some people have in their whole body. I wish he would do a retro album of funky tunes on a real electric piano

Thank you, RAMSEY LEWIS, for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift and talent. Your music was part background soundtrack to our once young life and continuing. It was a pleasure meeting you and giving incite on working with Charles Stepney and Maurice White. Quite the learning experience for myself. May GOD bless your legacy and surviving family.

“Back then, we danced to jazz . . .” It is such a shame that jazz has lost its funky, danceable edge. Most of the jazz released now is smooth. It is often so sanitized and bland.

I love your videos, but what is it with repeating huge portions of it in the middle of it all? You're basically wasting my time and i only forgive you and i only subscripted to you, because you know how to make interresting interviews and you interview great people.
