Great video.... Fascinating when he talked about Blacks picking up the Fife & Drums... That is symbolic with the Ulster Scottish from Ireland, which is still a tradition practiced in Northern Ireland today.. Ulster Scots immigrated here in the US in the early 1700's..

I saw Max with GFR....my first show at a casino here in Oklahoma....I like casino shows...they start early and finish by 10 o'clock or so.....hoping you will stay and gamble....which I never do...so it can still be an early night...especially good if you are working the next day....Max was great, he along with original members Mel Shocker (who also played with ? and The Mysterians) and Don Brewer, plus a 4th member....another new face. It was a very entertaining evening.

I read in Steve Lukather's book that Max auditioned for the lead singer role in TOTO after they had fired Bobby Kimball. Luke said he was great but not the right person for them at the time.
