I have been looking for just the right Singing lesson course: at 9yo I lost my voice due to the trauma of my mother who, when she learned that I had a good singing voice(performing in elementary school productions), decided to "train" me by playing the records of the popular Hispanic opera singer at the time, she would smack me in the face hard whenever I did not reach the notes on the recording. In time I learned to "lose" my voice entirely as a means to escape the abuse. It has taken me years to overcome that trauma and even though I am over 50, I have made a vow to myself to recover my voice. I have found that this lesson has actually worked to help me regain my voice. Thank you, Ramsey, I will save up and pay for the beginner course as soon as I can afford to.

I followed through and signed up on a low price with Nature's Craft zoom classes( check my description for info) , I'm so glad I did this because I got to meet other transgirls and they so cool everything was done with fun, so much communication and understanding. I can talk with my female voice and switch to male voice, this really boosted my self esteem and self confidence.

Thanks for this video. I've decided that I want to improve my singing a bit. I've been taking guitar lessons for several years now and singing along is still hard for me. But it helps me to learn and write music even though it sounds awful right now... This video is quite practical :)

As someone with perfect pitch i never sang in my life till two days ago. I don’t have problems reaching high I struggle with low. After doing tests and asking singers around me they say im a Baritone type and have F#2-C#5 Vocal Range. I can mimic just about any sound hearing it once. I just lack breathing practice.

Ramsey, my guy, you are a blessing made from heaven. As I actively participated in all your warm up exercises in my Grandpa’s garage like a moron, I surprisingly went from sounding like Lil Bow Wow to Mariah Carey. 😂 I’m totally capping, but seriously, your voice teaching ability is from out of this world. You’re now officially my personal trainer if you so let me. Such an honor and privilege to have come across your KZbin Channel, any way I can show my appreciation or support, just let me know.

I can sing but the problem is that sometimes I kinda lose my singing voice in the middle of performing so this is the reason I am watching you extremely good vocal coach thanks a lot!✨

What you said about crouching over your guitar is so true… I play, sing and write a lot of metal music and it’s very fast. I noticed that bad posture is a tone and range killer when it comes to singing. Now imagine having a heavy 5KG guitar hanging on you for 2-3h… I started to lift, diet and take GOOD care of my back lol

I feel like I'll never properly learn, without me being anxious about if I'm being too loud, because I really don't want to disturb the neighbors. I often find myself having to suppress myself to be quieter, which ends up in me sounding terrible.

I heard a liiiittle strain in the last two five note ah scales. I had a really great day for singing, managed some stuff like Billy Joel's Piano Man that I've never managed before. It's neat when stuff starts showing improvement :3 Edit to clarify: I mean I heard a little strain in MY voice, and I had a good day for singing recently to share a personal win. embarrassment, agh >

Yes, it's true there are some things I'm still working on in my voice. Starting from an F4 and ascending to C5 (Tenor high C) is still difficult for me because it requires I start in my first passage and ascend into my second passage with very little time to correct.

Oh nooo, I wasn't at all clear, I apologise, I meant in my voice when I was doing it, I heard a little strain. Sorry, I was anxious earlier and completely botched what I meant to be a positive to share of my own journey, I wasn't critiquing your voice, I'm far from qualified to judge :$ *embarrassment*

@@Shindai yes it's very common to strain up in that area!!! I'm a prime example, LOL

I sing in the baritone to tenor range, a bit lower than most. I have a vocal measuring tool and the lowest I can go is F2, the highest used to be was A4. I’m up a few notes now to a C5, but there I plateaued. The “nay” exercise helped a bit.
