It represents a person who is striving to attain "union" with God (Can loosely be defined as a person who is seeking a union with his love & is devoted to love. Here in this song, The character is called himself a Ramta Jogi, which means "A wandering devotee of love". Wrote this info after thorough research :)

Anil Kapoor movies to watch: Parinda, Lamhe, 1942 Love Story, Virasat, My Wife's Murder and AK vs AK. He himself doesn't like all his other old movies because he's mentioned in an interview that he didn't like this 'loud dialogue' acting, but was forced/peer pressured into it because 'soft-spoken heroes' didn't work at that time.
