I wouldn’t say this is that. I’m not a boiler guy. I’d say it’s more of a “know what you’re messing with can go very wrong” situation.

It is easy to fix. After getting some oil. If it is a two line system, reset usually works after two attempts. Take that long to get the air out of the line. If it is a single line system open the bleeder and hit the reset, it will bleed the air out.

If u hit the reset button and then grab a paperclip jump out both F terminals to bypass safety while you need to prime to prevent lockout.

Thanks for this. It's 1030pm, it's 16°F outside and I hit the reset 3 times before looking it up on YT 🤦‍♀️ I didn't realize it was shooting oil each time. I added 6 gallons diesel but I'm going to go get more hoping that helps. The oil furnace company is bringing more tomorrow but it keeps going on and off still despite the 6 gallons I added. There are no lights lit up at all though. Makes me think I need more fuel. Maybe I should just shut down the big breaker for the night?

The line needs to be purged. There reason it won’t light is because it’s most likely catching air pockets!

If a homeowner hits that button more than 2 times, or has to hit it once every few weeks, it's time to change filters, replace the nozzle and have a tech perform an efficiency test. You are only wasting money and endangering your family, oil is dirty, keep the unit clean...

How do I tell if my tank is empty we got home and it wasn’t heating its calling but I pressed the button twice it does ignite I tap on the tank and it’s sounds dry as a bone

You should have a gauge on your tank. Look around the top!

Well the brand new Beckett Genesis ignition modules you can hook your phone up to it with Bluetooth and see exactly how many times the reset button had been hit always ask the homeowner I just want to see if they lie to me
