Since ranch rodeos first started in Pecos, Texas July 4, 1883, ranch saddles have always been used in ranch rodeos because it is what working cowboys have always used on ranches. Pro-rodeo saddle bronc riders do not use saddles with horns on them for obvious reasons.

@@zzfein I'm pretty sure they are not, an injured animal is just killed or sent to slaughter cause its not making any money, at least at the bigger rodeos, Maybe the smaller ones are different, but the big ones just kill the animal when they have a breakdown. There is a reason why certain rodeo events are banned several places in the US. Like horse tripping, Would you say that is humane?
