I'm on my "fiancée"'s account here, but I'm a 31 year old woman. Im on my way out for what feels like is way too early due to a liver and kidney disease, which makes me feel lame because all of my prior attempts didn't work and now that its happening, I'm oddly not ok with it. ANYWAY - my original point to this comment was to say that I listened to this song and album sooooo much each time I got hospitalized. Its absolutely both crazy and awesome how music can be our tether back to life and how it affects us all. Its cool (but also not cuz I wouldn't wish it on even my worst enemy let alone a stranger) to at least hear someone else say what I think. Please believe me when I say I genuinely hope things are getting better for you.

Wishing good vibes to everyone out there. There’s some good folks in LA, just stay inland and try and find middle class folks. This album was controversial upon its release with many fans citing it as the SELLING OUT of Rancid. I was a freshman in High School when this came out and it divided the punk community, mainly due to their association with GOOD CHARLOTTE and Kelly Osbourne in the video. I personally loved this album as a 14 year old skater and bass player from Miami. With Rancid being seen as one of the last of the true punk bands, this really divided a whole fanbase. They were actually booed at Warped Tour that year in 2003 in West Palm Beach. I still jam it. I'm older now and I say WHO CARES!! IT ROCKS!! INDESTRUCTIBLE!

I never got the hate for non hard core punk. I mean the Ramones were never Hardcore. And they are as punk as it gets. I love The Ramones, but I also like the Sex Pistols, I like the Clash, but I also like the Exploited. To each their own I say. But one can't dictate what's punk and what's not. Green Day and Rancid are both punk to me. Eff what everyone else says.

The weekend before last we had a gathering for my best friend Maddie who died of cancer. Her only request was "Play fucking Rancid!" We put her urn on a throne in the middle of a field on her mom's property, lit a huge bonfire and played Rancid's entire discography. We got drunk and told stories all night. Some of them might have been true! Thank you for blessing the world with 52 years of your love and passion, Maddie.

This was my me and my brother's song. We grew up listening to in on the Tony Hawk games. We always said it described out relationship. This song perfectly describes how i feel about the people around me (just the chorus though) during this time of my life...right now i'm fighting stage 4 colon cancer, and with people from the nurses and doctors, to all the family and friends giving their support giving their good vibes and prayers and the like, i'm actually beating the cancer....it is slow going and very tiring, but i intend to stay around as long as i can...so far ive passed a few landmarks they said i would not reach...so i am definitely a believer in positive thinking....

Whoa,....homie!... Bro, I...{{sigh of awkward speechlessness}}...that's some pretty heavy shit. I'm really, honestly, sincerely sorry that you've had to endure such a condition. But!,...its good to hear you're making & breaking landmarks like you say. Ya see,....{{sigh...}}...well, obviously you don't know me, but the reason it was (is) difficult for me to find words to broach the subject is because my mom eventually died of what started out as breast cancer. It got better, then it came back as melanoma on her leg, and then,....{{sharp inhale}}...then it spread to her brain and spine. From there, it was just a matter of time. Some time did indeed pass, until finally March 3rd of 2000 came 'round. All I have to say is that I'm just really glad I was there standing by her bed side. I mean,...yanno, it's a memory that is bittersweet, but the thing is,...most of the time people don't get to be there when a loved one dies. I was...so I consider myself lucky. Wow, okay! Sorry, lol...dragged on a bit more than I'd planned. So anyway man,...shit sucks, sorry you got dealt that hand, glad to hear you're improving on a stellar scale, and uhm,...well, I empathize. As I said, I have a rather intimate understanding of that bitch called 'cancer'. Oh yah, also,....Rancid's fuckin' awesome, am I right?! lol

"Fall Back Down" Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you If I fall back down, you're gonna help me back up again If I fall back down, you're gonna be my friend [x2] It takes disaster to learn a lesson You're gonna make it through the darkest night Some people betray one and cause treason We're gonna make everything alright Well the worst of times, now, they don't phase me Even if I look and act really crazy I went way down, she betrayed me Now my vision is no longer hazy I'm very lucky to have my crew They stood by me when she flew I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you If I fall back down, you're gonna help me back up again If I fall back down, you're gonna be my friend [x4]

Hey guys. I just realized a lot of shit. And seeing Rancid in Worcester on Saturday was a huge part of it. I'm not gonna explain it. I'm just gonna say this. We all need need remember love first. Always love first. Always. Always. When they closed the shoe with Ruby Soho. I openly wept in the pit. Because my heart was so cold before. And so filled with love after. God bless you all. Never, ever grow cold towards others. We are all the same. For me. It took experiencing it through music to truly understand, that we are all the same. DESRINATION, UNKNOWN!
