Massive Andy C fan but Randall taught him everything he knows. He helped bring Ram Records through and launched some of Andy’s work. If you love Drum and Bass and you love Andy C. You love Randall. The man pushed Drum and Bass to where we are now. You want pioneers? You want Goldie, Roni, Fabio and Grooverider, Shy and Randall. Maximum respect for the DJs DJ.

Actually upsets me he was THIS good. First checked him in 93, last saw him at XOYO with Watch The RIde. DAMAGE. Saw him at Fabric last year - the main event played Room 1, he was Room 2 same time. Guess which room was rammed??? Also saw Daddy Randall on a Tuesday at Bailey's Intabeats a few months back. He played to about 40 people, but looked so happy. Special Time in drum and bass. No one was selling out. No band wagon poos. Just djs and producers pushing a vibe. People think this Era was just dark but it was really focused and funky. I will say we forgot about our hip hop and dancehall/reggae influences but we were super strong. Unfortunately we left to much in the hands of the promoters who chose producers to dj over djs and our scene heard a lot of train wrecks on the dance floor. This is the exception. Producers who could dj just as well as they produced.
