I thought the #28 was forged, seen quite a bit of variation in pictures, the grind seems to vary some.

No, the #23 is definitely forged, the #10 is not, the tailor is not, the triathlete is not, but just about everything else is.

I cleaned my tri -focals , checked the Randall website and my most recent catalog , and yes the correct model that is in question is the #24 I've also ordered Randall's most current catalog to help avoid any repeated errors.
