It would have been much better if instead of detecting the line and staying within the boundary, It followed the line like a track. You could use a dry erase marker, and make tracks all over a hardwood floor. I have a little AliExpress DIY soldering kit car that does that. I have carpeting though. But it worked great on the sample paper track it came with. Randy, that's a good idea for some content. Those AliEx DIY soldering kits.

maybe the company made a robot bootleg but added a few details to not enter into copyright territory, like Legos and Megabloks. I really like the transparent plastic there is something so early 2000's about it, like I could put it next to a macintosh or something

That thing could probably follow lines with the right firmware. It would be slow. Surprised there aren't any line following biped toys. They just have machine vision for wheeled robots.

The peg/hole game Hi Q is good puzzle for the brain. One time I got it down to 2 pegs left, and so far I've refrained from googling the exact pattern needed for a championship win.

I absolutely love you I grew up loving robots I watched short circuit once and I was hooked I started going to college recently a few weeks ago I'd love to become a robotics engineer Maybe I'll start fixing toys on the side like you do this is awesome

I've just bought one of these from eBay. It also says 1999 on the battery cover, but the box and the instructions say 2000. It is also a slightly different colour to yours, silver with red wheel trims and light grey on the hands and face. Mine powers up, eye lights flash, arms move, the wheel underneath turns and rotates and red led comes on, but he doesn't actually move along. Have you any idea what could be wrong please?

@@RandiRain Thank you - we will check, though we have, with a lot of coaxing anad nudging, managed to get it to move, so perhaps everything had gotten a bit stiff inside. I have noticed that if you leave it alone for a while, whilst on, it goes 'dormant', but then utters some new noises, including something that sounds like "Awww", which is very cute!
