Never could get into Randolf's aviators. Not flattering - bridge looks too wide. Archers look better but the temples are too short.

So- it seems like the 55 is still the true pilot aviator look. I couldn't tell from the earlier videos. The 'flare out' of the ear stem at the temples on medium to medium large heads is part of how it's supposed to fit. It doesn't mean you're wearing a size too small. The 58 and 61 start getting into that high fashion look. The 61 changes the look altogether because the nose bridge width is now different. Also, just as fyi- don't bother with aviator knockoffs from Amazon- even if the colorways (including bayonets) are proper, the factory they come from doesn't know how to get the wrap correct (probably because the lenses would also need a wrap to zeroize the prescription and any distortion). They look like someone sat on them...that's in addition to the little quality defects.

I have a wide head and get that classic look with the 55mm American Optical Original Pilots, which are very similar in dimension

I shoukd first say that i love the Randolphs that I own. They are fantastic, but, some complaints... 52 fit me perfectly. In typical randolph brainpower genius, the owner of the company has deliberately chosen not to offer very many color combinations in the smaller 52mm size. I think his personal battle cry is "melon heads unite"

@zomgitsmax they always make them too small. They're almost abusive about too. "Oh you want smaller? How about a 44mm kids size?" No, how about sizes in 47-52 depending on overall size and shape. Randolph can't even do a proper 6 or 8 base curve on a 56 and call it a small. There's a reason why it's a niche brand,
