What do you do with the gold plating wearing out? These are my favorite pair and I wear them a lot.

Hi Horacio, I would talk to Randolph customer service. You can probably warranty the frame!

Can't really decide between AGX and American Gray. Would be a non-polarized lens for driving and I'm on the fence with these 2. Which one would you recommend please?

The AGX has slightly more color contrast than the American Grey. If you like colors like yellow, red and purple to pop then go with the AGX. If you want similar colors to what you see without glasses, go with the American Grey. The American grey also seems very slightly darker. If you're not a fan of polarized then don't get it, but they can be useful for driving because they cut glair off of glass.

@sportsoptical5746 Thank you for your detailed answer. I'm a big Maui Jim fan and only have had polarized sunglasses in the last 10 years. The only reason I'm considering non-polar lenses is a few sunglass review yt channel recently pointed out that this was a big mistake and for driving they recommend non-polarized lenses instead. They never actually convinced me, I love my Maui Jims and other polarized lenses so really don't understand why some opticians suggested this.

Which frame offers better coverage from the sun? RE Aviator or Concorde?
@sportsoptical57462 жыл бұрын
Hi George, I would say the Concorde would offer better coverage from the sun due to lens size. If you're looking for optimal protection from the sun, I would suggest an 8 base (high wrap) frame. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
@tomdavis30382 жыл бұрын
Neither. They are both base curve 6 and will both let in massive light from the sides. The Concorde might be marginally better coverage. I tried the aviators and returned them. Look at any picture of someone wearing them in bright sun and they are squinting Cheers

@@tomdavis3038 If you’re wearing base curve 8 sunglasses for driving or casual use you might as well get the white New Balance 624, jean shorts and a fanny pack to match….complete the “dad” look. Only time the visor sunglasses don’t look played out if fishing or biking.

What color lenses are these?
@alexhunter22372 жыл бұрын
This is the American grey Randolph stock lens but Sports Optical can make prescription lenses in almost any color or style.

@@alexhunter2237 I would have guessed that the where the agx lenses. They had a green teint on the video.😀
