The young lady who helped the older one reminds me of an experience maybe 5 years ago or so. At the time, I was working in a city. Lunch hour, on the sidewalk waiting for the light to turn. Three other guys in suits and me. Elderly lady waiting to cross as well. When the walk light came on, we formed a square around her as she crossed. We didn't plan it, didn't say a word to each other, didn't even know each other. We made it look like she had her own Secret Service detail.

The worst injury to anyone is a back injury. No signs that people can see and only those who have had same pain or compassion enough to recognize the pain in the persons eyes, can only understand. I suffer from back pain. So I understand.

Ever notice how a person becomes so much more beautiful/handsome when you realize that they are genuinely good/unselfish people. People like that are a breath of fresh air in this ugly world that's dominated by heartless, selfish people. Likewise, have you ever seen someone that you thought was a "10" in the looks dept but they quickly turn into a 2 after you hear them speak and you realize that they're rude, shallow, self-centered narcissists? Cuz I've certainly have had to deal wit it.

The very first video isn't someone being nice for no reason. Those little girls are going to grow up without a father because ghouls thought he should be sent overseas to die in some useless "war." And the ghouls that sent him don't even have the guts to get a formal declaration of war. Imagine having someone giving you a folded piece of colorful cloth to replace your father.

Why are there so many videos of family members and friends shaving their heads? I get that they want to show support, which is fine, but quite a lot show the patient being bald BEFORE THEY’VE HAD TREATMENT!!! Just because you’re having chemotherapy or the lesser radiotherapy, is no guarantee that you’ll lose your hair so why not wait until the patient loses some hair? (some “patients” shave before treatment ffs, presumably for the attention/likes?). Yes, I’ve had 5-rounds of chemo and didn’t lose my hair, at least not on my head, and no it didn’t work - expiration date is closing fast.
@melissafields3376
@melissafields3376 Жыл бұрын
I was also wondering why so many people do this( the cancer patients). Like you said; not everyone loses their hair. it depends on the type/mixture of chemotherapy drugs. Been through some myself and helped my family and friends (well I hope I was of some help) when they went through chemo. I'll be honest; I'm not sure what to say about you mentioning that "it" didn't work. I don't want to insult you by giving a glib reply. So I'll just say: Follow your gut. I've seen so many times where people have beaten the odds. just because Doctors have given a prognosis; doesn't mean that is what the outcome is. Please know that. Sometimes it comes down to holding on for a better day. Blessings to you and the fight you are going through.
@Lord_Ronin_The_Compassionate
@Lord_Ronin_The_Compassionate Жыл бұрын
@@melissafields3376 when the diagnosis was originally found it was already too late to do much, other than slow it down. It was wrapped around kidneys, liver, spleen, lower intestines, stomach, and so on - basically every major organ below the diaphragm. Since then I’ve had the 5-rounds of chemo (Rituximab, Bendomustine, being the names I recall) besides other stuff, but morphine/fentanyl really screws up short term memory I’ve noticed. The prognosis for an extensive Stage 3 aggressive, cancer wasn’t great - a few years at best, assuming it didn’t spread and slowed a bit. It decided to ignore everything, and metastasised above the diaphragm(spread to nearly all lymph nodes) just over a year ago so it’s Stage 4 aggressive, terminal and no amount of chemo will change that. Due to the issues/side effects of chemo I decided against having more of it - probably sounds nuts, but chemo was so unpleasant that the short periods of time between one infusion (took from 0930-1800hrs on average, into a PICC line) hardly seemed worth it. I’ve always preferred quality of life instead of quantity, on the basis that a long life whilst miserable didn’t seem too appealing, whereas trying to have a good time meant my wife and I could make great memories which seemed more important for her in the long run. My apologies for the length of this response but these days I have to make the most of lucid time between the morphine pump activating. If I don’t, I end up forgetting what I was doing, and forget I was intending to post this. Anyway, there we are. No complaints, I’ve had an interesting life with some experiences I’d prefer to forget (severe PTSD) and others I wish I could repeat time and again. My wife is (5’4”) easily the best thing that ever happened to me, she was GP doctor before we met, then was a Palliative Care Consultant at the hospice I’ll be going to if I become too hard to handle - a 6’3” retired Royal Marine Commando even without the strength I’m used to can be quite stubborn. My wife, Pamela, says I’m just bloody minded and being a Yorkshireman is just the cherry on top of stubbornness! I cannot imagine why she thinks this?! LoL. She also reckons my bloody mindedness is why I’ve exceeded my “expiration/best before shelf life” date! PS - I’ve been asked about religion before and my views. I was born Jewish, but brought up in a christian family. Any beliefs I did have were almost completely dispelled after seeing what humans can do to each other - Kosovo in particular. Anyway, all the best wishes from Yorkshire, David (& Dr. Pamela)

@@karenshepard2716 thank you for the thoughts, but please save your prayers for those that truly need/deserve them. If you read the end of the last part of the novella you’ll understand why I have no faith left - far too many years witnessing what people do to each other in the name of religion finally removed any remaining beliefs I might have had. If you watch the James Blunt video entitled “No Bravery” it might help you with understanding although I tend to get stuck at the 0m45s mark as the nightmares and smells return and yet it’s a very sanitised image compared to the reality. Sorry about that, I wasn’t trying to make you miserable or sad. You’ve been more than kind enough in offering a complete stranger some kind words and consideration when so many others would just ignore it. I suppose I’ve just become so jaded, saddened and cynical through living the life I did that it’s difficult to imagine nicer times - but I’m very fortunate in marrying a woman with an almost infinite supply of kindness, compassion and empathy (I referred to Pam’s medical background in an earlier comment). Although there’s a lot more I could mention it’s not practical (it’s 0530hrs here 10th October) and my little morphine pump is going to start up in a few seconds, so I’ll finish off here. Thank you once again, for being so kind and considerate. Both myself and my wife thank you for your understanding and your prayers. All the best wishes to you and yours.
