At 53:10, he risked a Hurricane miss with Torn-T against a -1 defense 55% HP Glalie instead of clicking supereffective 100% accurate Superpower. The icing on the cake? Hurricane's max damage roll is 53%.

@@aistonchan4457 Just checked the Random Battles calc, Superpower from a burned Torn-T does 53.6% max to a -1 Def/neutral Sp. Def Glalie and Hurricane to that same Glalie does 53.2% max. He never gets the range without a crit, but fishing for a crit on a 100% accurate move is better than with a 70% accurate move.

@@darkfiredragon3410 Actually no. While I doubt they worked out the odds, it was better to go with hurricane. Neither move could KO so you're relying on crits or confusion. With SP it's the standard 6.25% chance, but with Hurricane it's a 14.2% chance

this is why damage calc is necessary to do during every battle: as it shows leaf blade critical hit only has a 1/8 chance to kill, so you need to close combat crit to kill 100% (in the last battle against cloyster)

Superpower probably would have been the better choice instead of trying for Hurricane when Glaie's Defense dropped. Tornadus-T has a higher Base Attack than Glalie has Base-Def, the Super Effectiveness gives a x2 multiplier instead of x1.5 through STAB, the -1 in Defense makes up a bit for the Burn and Superpower has 10 more Base Power with 100% Accuracy when compared to Hurricane. I would have taken this gamble when Glalie was on 49% (Turn 46) just to test the damage. The biggest drawback would have been the drop in Attack afterwards, since Freeze-Dry is Special and doesn't benefit from your own -1 Defense. Calcing it with the Stats on screen does make it the better choice too and it's just more consistent.

For the cloyster at the end you had a better chance of KO with close combat, you need a crit to win either way but all CC crit rolls kill after rocks whereas only 2/16 crit rolls kill for leaf blade

Dubwool basically never dies to physical attackers, cuz fluffy and cotton guard racks up def so fast. Paired with body press and 201 speed it shreds through basically everything. The only real counters are special attackers and ghost types. Zacian and zamazenta could never kill a Dubwool after it gets off a cotton guard.

Hey, just have a question. Why did you go drill run on the Tyrantrum and not waterfall? Waterfall has STAB, is 100% accurate and has a flinch chance.

@@ginwilliam7763 yeah but drill run isnt stab, Waterfall = 80 + 40(stab) = 120 Drill run = 85 + 42.5(SE) = 127.5 Although drill run is stronger, it is only 95%, waterfall is 100% and has a flinch chance. Plus, waterfall doesn't have any pokemon who are immune, only mons with storm drain or water absorb, while drill run does nothing to all flying types and levitate mons.

Dubwool is essentially immune to all physical attacks unless you hit it with a choice banded stab close combat before it gets up a single cotton guard.

@@vandelay33 even if it's not fluffy it won't take that much damage unless it's a very fast very strong choice banded fighting type like Pheremosa who does 50~60 percent against Dubwool in Randoms with a choice band. But regardless fighting type superffective contact move will do equal damage to a equal power to a fire type contact move, they both end up doing normal damage.

You really, really, *REALLY* should've Supepowered that Glalie because of the -1 Defense; you never killed anyways, would've prevented Substitutes for at least 3 turns and let you either negate Disable attempts by Will-O-Wisp first then Strange Steam, or just SS first then ruin the Glalie anyway by taking away his healing with the burn leaving it permanently under Sub range.

Hey freezai I love your vids, just started watching. Even though you’re a way better player than me, I have to give the following advice. I’ve seen you lose over just not considering the moves your mon has. Like not using superpower with tornadus, and instead using a non super effective hurricane. Or in another vid clicking twice knock off with bisharp, instead of iron head on the second time (both attacks were neutral and you were not choiced). You almost got swept by ceracosta because of it. Just try to stop sometimes and compare the different moves. This kind of cognitive blindness can lose games for you. Ok carry on with the nice vids :)
