The switch hands for the boomerang monkey was also originally a monkey knowledge feature, and it was classified as an ability (just like the swap directions button of the monkey ace still counts as an ability)

There’s no attack speed boost, it just sets the targeting to follow mouse. It does however provide a boost to swivel speed, which may have been what you were thinking about.
