Just when I was thinking you weren't as enthusiastic as usual, you mention you've already done a load of cookery videos. Then I'm thinking you probably get very few opportunities to film, so have to do as much as you can, when you can. But then you open the durian cookies and I'm like, "there it is!!!" Loved it.

I strongly recommend Gold Label Walnut Cookies from Malaysia. The only problems with them are that they're quite expensive - £2.75 for 300g - and that once you open them, you can't stop until they've all gone. I never share them, I'm afraid. I'm like Gollum with the ring.

Being the adventurous soul that I am, I tried durian cookies, then durian sweet thing. It was sweet and like a sausage. They tasted like a mix of a gas leak and turpentine and an aftertaste that lasted for hours. I haven't bought any more.

I'm addicted to Garlic flavour Sky Flakes. Not sure where they're actually made but have to buy a multi-pack every visit to Wai Yee Hong. Also drinking lots cans of oolong tea

A filipino friend introduced me to Sky Flakes. Can't eat them now (coeliac), but I used to love them. They're the cracker beer has been waiting for. Every pub should sell them.

I noticed Choo putting the snacks to one side before you mentioned it 😀 I'm more of a savoury snack person. Mind you, like you said, the sticks would go well with ice cream

Durian... rancid sugary onions! 🤢 We do buy the Chocolate Superstix though, which are good and my son has them in ice cream. Thanks for the review on the Ube and Pandan.. I've never been brave enough to buy those, but would try them now.

They don't tend to have much in the world food section other than ramen/mama/rice noodles/rice/sauces etc in my local asda and sainsburysbest going to chinese supermarket. Im pretty lucky where i live in West Midlands we have a local Filipino store, Chinese supermarkets and bakeries in Birmingham then theres the massive Wing Yip and those tend to be the ones with all the good snackksss lol

I was given loads of freeze dried packets of the stuff while I was in Cambodia, like a dehydrated marshmellow. Your saliva would vanish instantly and your poor mouth struggled to get back to normal each time bringing that horrid flavour back
