I remember when my boyfriend and I were close to become a couple (it was just around eurovision time) I thought about how to explain that I absolutely LOVE the ESC. All my friends hate it and except for my mum I didn't knew any close person who liked it. So one day I told him and he began to laugh. First, I thought he would say that I'm childish but then he explained that he and his male friends watch it every year, they even have an own voting system like when some performers include fire or a instrument etc.. I'm so thankfull for him and that we and his friends can share this together :)

I am in middle school now and at the start of the year nobody in my class even knew what Eurovision was, except me of course. Interestingly I am a very outgoing person and I made it into the popular kids group so everybody was suddenly interested in my music taste. It's been 2 years and my whole class are huge fans of Eurovision: after esc 2019 we ran around the school yard with 5 speakers and sang the popular Eurovision songs from 2015 to 2019. It will go to my list as one of the top 5 best moments of my life

But sometimes I hear certain ESC songs here and there: Cyprus 2012, Bulgaria 2017, France 2010 and 2016, Germany 1979 and 2013, Latvia 2000, Finland 2006, Azerbaijan 2009, Greece 2000 and 2005, Sweden 2011, Luxembourg 1965 and 1988. It happens rarely though.

Hi, I randomly found all your videos today and have binged them all. I had no idea there was a Eurovision fandom - I've been watching since 2003, and my mum (who got me into it) has been watching since the 80s. We're Aussies, and it's so interesting how the older people of my country love it, and how many young people don't know what it is. I grew up watching it, and I love that Australia stopped being a 'special act' and became an actual competitor. As much as we love the inclusion, we have no idea why we're allowed to participate lol. Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful videos, I feel like it's only my mother and I that set aside the whole weekend to watch Eurovision live. If you're old enough/you drink, we play a Eurovision drinking game she made up in the 90s and its great fun to play at the Eurovision parties we host. Thank you again, Eurovision has been a huge part of my life, and it's always a major highlight of my year.

I'm from outside Europe and my country never participated in the contest, so I almost never get to hear Eurovision songs in public. Sure, the contest is talked about by some people and news outlets every May, but it's very rare that a Eurovision song gets played on the radio. To be fair though, I never listen to the radio and am usually listening to music on my phone when shopping. Because of this, any time I hear a Eurovision song in public here I remember it for a fairly long time. One example happened last autumn during a family reunion. We were eating dinner at an Italian place and while we were waiting for food Volare started playing. Even if it was rather fitting and expected for an Italian restaurant it was shocking to me because Eurovision songs never get any airplay here.

Here in Greece I heard Goodbye To Yesterday at a restaurant this January. Which was surprising not only cause it's a Eurovision song, but also cause it's 5 years old. I have also heard Swedish entries (2016 and 2018) at H&M lol. However in summer 2018 Fuego and in summer 2019 both Soldi and Replay were everywhere in the radio. Also: Eurovision songs I've heard in talent shows (Xfactor, Voice etc.) include Soldi, Euphoria, Satellite, Lie To Me, Rise Like A Phoenix and Grande Amore. I also get excited with Your Face Sounds Familiar Eurovision-themed episodes. 2nd also: Many Eurovision songs are often adapted by Greek artists, like Tornero (ROM 06) by Tamta, Golden Boy (Eleni Foureira- Sto Theo Me Paei), Grande Amore (Antonis Remos), If Love Was A Crime (Demy - Isovia Mazi) and She Got Me (Vaggelis Kakouriotis - Posa Kserei).

0:40 I can relate, for some reason, I've heard quite a few Eurovision songs in public, despite being American. At the restaurant I work at, I've heard half of the top 10 songs of 2019, plus 22 for some reason, as well as Where I Am, Running on Air and You're Not Alone. In addition, I heard Dance You Off at a burger place and Perfect Life in a store near me. A higher up at my restaurant must really like Eurovision.

Eurovision is not so popular in Turkey nowadays. Last summer, my family and I went to a shopping mall, I was looking around with my cousin and my mom was with my brother. We went to a cosmetic shop and my cousin heard soldi. I AM THE ONE WHO IS FAN AND I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHICH SONG IT IS. She was like "Oh, do you hear that? You love this song, it's from Eurovision." And I was literally screaming like THERE IS TOO MUCH NOISE I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND A SINGLE WORLD. Later I (finally) recognized and I was insanely happy. Then my brother texted me saying "Come here asap they're playing 22" I couldn't catch it but after that we were going to home and in radio they played fuego. That was literally my happiest day in life.

I grew up with Eurovision myself and it's a joy to see all the people from outside Europe enjoying it too. Here in Sweden we always get drowned in our own songs but rarely hear any other sadly :c. My favourites throughout the years have usually been songs that never even made it to the finals, like Belarus' "Time" from 2015, lovely elf boys. Honestly have started caring less about the competition and more just enjoy listening to all of the new songs here on youtube every year on repeat xD
