I just picked this up and it's a cool add on. I got about the same result you did but was a little disappointed that it wasn't easier to get panels that looked like the ones from the demos.

It's a lot of fun - a bit counter-intuitive at the very beginning, but once you get familiar with the settings it's pretty easy to use

Any chance you could explain why my viewport isn't updating the model in realtime like all the demos? Was really excited to get this plugin, but it's basically worthless without the realtime feedback for changing settings. Maybe it's a setting in Blender I have wrongfully ticked or something? Any help appreciated.

What method I should use to make low poly of my random flow model beside retopology?

I haven't used this addon, but I think I would duplicate my low poly model, then apply random flow to that duplicated, and then bake all the details from the high poly to the low poly model

So I just bought this from the blender site and I don't think the right code came with it. It's _init_.py ...which might explain why it doesn't show up in my preference files either.
