It’s always the worst dubs with the best voice cast lol. I have to admit, even though Glitter Force wasn’t the best, it had some really funny one-liners that made me chuckle a bit. And tbh, I don’t really mind the edits. I see the dub as it’s own thing and I recommend it to little girls who wanna see themselves represented as heroes. Not to mention the dub does teach a lot of good life lessons. Magical girls get zero notice in the west and are less known to western children, so even though it did edit this and that out, it still opened the door to kids to get into other magical girl shows.

I personally don't mind the fact that Cure Summer's design doesn't have a lot of pink. Her design is unique among lead Cures. As for my rankings for the Tropical-Rouge Cures from least favorite to most favorite: Coral < Flamingo < Summer < Papaya I have a bias towards yellow Cures.

I want to see a cure that is overweight, and at the beginning, she is very conscious about her looks and wants to look very different, and hates her looks. But at the end, she accepts herself. I see luminous as a pink cure. Her hair might be blonde/yellow, but her outfit is pink. Peach, Heart, Flora, and Miracle have the same thing with the blonde hair and the pink outfit, but luminous is seen as a yellow cure just for her hair. I see duos as mains. I think black, White, Bloom, Egret, Miracle, and Magical are all mains just because they need each other to transform and use attacks.

Whenever a mascot becomes a Pretty Cure, it's never the main mascot. That way, Toei can still sell most of the mascot toys. Since Laura seems to be the main "mascot" of this show, promoted even more heavily than Kururun, I think Kururun would be more likely to become a Pretty Cure than her. Honestly, with Cure Summer being our first white Cure since 2011 and our first non-pink lead since 2005, as well as Laura being the first non-Cure to be promoted like a Cure since 2008, Tropical-Rouge is already breaking quite a few traditions. Frankly, another green Cure who is unambiguously green seems more likely to happen here than it would for another season. In addition... do you think we might end up getting our first main-character boy Cure?

One idea that I think would be interesting is one of the villains appearing to be a normal merperson, but turning out to actually be some sort of golem/homunculus the witch made out of sea foam. It'd be an interesting reference to the original Little Mermaid, especially since Papaya's bio specifically states that she loved it since she was little.

This is a random opinion of mine but Smile precure is the most underrated and overrated season of precure. Glitter force is the overrated part. And it seems like this Smile is glossed over by the Fandom. Its one of my favorites due to the message "You will always go through hard times, but you have to work through it." And also having two of the most badass cures (imo) In the series. Cure March and Cure Beauty will always be queens. And the fact that it had some pretty dark moments like how Yayoi was dealing with her fathers death was heartbreaking. Anywho great series, great characters, and decent plot.

I personally got into Precure through Glitter Force and Glitter Force Doki Doki. To be very honest, I hated certain one liners that characters had. I remember in the final fight (Spoilers) in Glitter Force the characters are in the land of darkness, and Emily sees the others. One of them says something along the lines of “I’ll just take a little nap” or some corny crap like that. The original Precure was definitely more serious and made these fight scenes more enjoyable. I’m currently looking at other Precure seasons to watch. Any suggestions would be great! Edit: I’ve gotten through a few seasons now! I’m enjoying the franchise so far and plan on sticking around!

I love the Go! Princess transformation song too, it's just beautiful, not only the music, the background being a ball room it's just amazing and it's one of those seasons where gladly all cures have well animated transformations. Also fun fact! Did you know that the humming in the background of the song makes sense? (This lyrics is from the Precure Fandom Wiki): "Any girl can become a princess! The doors of a dream will open now Ru Ru Ru Ru Ru - you enter it as a shining star A wonderful new princess came unto world She wears the dress - of a princess The dream begins now Princess, princess with your heart! Though I love this song I can't say it's my favourite Precure transformation theme because I love Doki Doki Precure transformation theme too, It's sounds super heroic but the melody is beautiful and it makes me as nostalgic as the Go! I think for the mid-season, it WOULD be Laura cause... if their gonna promote our mermaid queen so much, than it just a matter of time till TOEI pulls "The Little Mermaid" trope. Along with a second cure, being green ofc, being a dear friend of theirs at their school which is a girl of color. (Mainly of Hawaiian descent, similar to Cure Sunset & Wave) Laura's Debut: Pretty much what you just stated or TLM trope with Laura being kinda down about not being able to see more of the city on land, leading to the villains convincing her that she'll be given legs in exchange for her harmonic voice (since she based on Siren Folklore, they would utilize her voice to hypnotize civilians into becoming their henchmen or source for monsters), she'll be hesitant but than thinks again about how great walking across town would be like, so she accepts and QUE "EVERY VOICE SNATCH EVER". Long story short, we get an episode or two of Laura shocking the whole gang on her new form, some random skits/gags since... comedy season X3 and "KISS THE BOY". Finally, her consequences caught up to her and the team, regretting that her desires lead to the hypnosis crisis and putting her friends in grave peril; so once she fixes her resolve for herself, begging to go back who she once was, she was greeted by a blinding from her tablet. Giving her the power to transform into Cure Siren! Her Keypoint is her Voice, with the transformation utilizing the tablet and her voice when singing thru her stylus. Not sure of what the future holds for the next green, but hope to see some great things from them, whether their a friend or foe! I suggest their Keypoint should be their Nails, ofc with using the pen on her nails in her transformation. Uw0

Smile precure is one and probs my fave season in the entire franchise but I do love the story theme and stuff I just really wanted Smile to be more fairy tale -esque And an art theme FOR SURE!!! HELL Yes!!!!! I do have a fan series called Gemstone Precure that I am making, kind of inspired By Maho Girls where they used gems to give them attacks and powers and stuff. But my series is based on gems its self kinds with my cures being: Cure Tourmaline(pink), Cure Ruby(red), Cure Amber(yellow), Cure Emerald(green, couldn't have left out such a color!), Cure Sapphire(blue), Cure Amethyst(purple and the mid season cure, she's gonna be a 6th ranger literally) . Cure Amethyst is gonna be like a Cure Scarlet kinda thing where she's from the magic land and turns bad. But she turns bad for a different reason. And I maybe would put 2 cures together to make like an lgbtq+ kinda thing but I still need to write all of the cures bio' so idk who I'm gonna do but we really need some lgtbq+ precures cuz I'm Polysexual and lgbtq is just yes! Cure Chocolat and Cure Macron are 2 of my faves their relationship and Akira's gayness and more masculine personality and look are just yes!! And for underrated/better plot cures I would say Honoka/Cure White. Compred to Nagisa, she was kinda bland compared to her. Nagisa is fun and loud and goofy while honoka is just smiling and staying quiet and just being in the backgorund all of the time. Honoka is lovely ofc, but next to Nagisa, she is kinda bland and like other serious cures and stuff- Example: Reika/Cure Beauty and Rikka/Cure Diamond (Reika and Rikka are such similiar names and they're both back to back seasons. I almost put Reika/Cure diamond. They have similiar names, both are blue, both have icey powers, both are student council, etc)

I also think Laura is probably gonna be a cure (as much as I don't want her to be). Toei promoting side characters before becoming cures isn't necessarily new (as somebody mentioned earlier Haa-chan was in a bunch of the material before she became Felice). I hate glitter force. To me it’s a patronizing American version of precure and how it changes. To me though I just hate it but please don’t assume that I hate those who watch it because I’m not like that. You like it, you like it. I’m glad you found something you like/got you into the fandom but as someone who watched smile precure first I just can’t stand the glitter force version. As for cures who plots don’t make sense/don’t like it’s Felice and cosmo. I hate how once they were joined in they took most of the screen time and it drove me nuts. For cures I didn't think we're written well, Cure honey. Her whole personality is food and sweets and singing about sweets and it bothers me that she's one of the few musical cures we have. I agree with your Glitter Force opinions... I don’t understand why they changed the name. Futari Wa Precure was localized many years ago (which I absolutely loved younger) and they didn’t change the name much, they just called it Pretty Cure (5 and Splash Star were also gonna get a dub keeping the Pretty Cure name as well) so I don’t understand why Saban thought it was necessary and a good idea. If anything it could’ve been a great opportunity to introduce more people in the west to the franchise (like myself with the original dub when I was younger). Also yeah after Go Princess, Precure fights haven’t been the same. I mean yeah you get those cool fights every once and a while (I mean look at Hugtto, some of those fight scenes really caused a lot of hype in (and I think maybe outside) the community) but other than that it’s not frequently. I don’t mind it but it’s one of the many things that brought people into the franchise so it kinda sucks to see it not done much like it used too. Also as for Tropical Rouge I do find it strange how they include Laura in the Cure lineup (a lot) despite her not being one. I wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes like Cure Felice (a magical creature the Cures are looking after, turning into a Cure herself) since this generation they’ve been adding a wide verity of unique cure to every team, but if she did became a human imo it would definitely somewhat be a downgrade because they took something unique about her and her season (like imagine if they changed Yuni into a human erasing her cat features and took Asumi earth goddess powers to make her one as well...). I mean it could happen but if it does I hope they give her human legs when she’s exclusively a Cure (if she does become one) and, or give her the ability to do so on her own (that way she’s still unique and can still be marketed as a mermaid). If she doesn’t become one and is still part of the team lineup I’ll be surprised. Also since she’s (as you said) blue, I really hope we get a green Cure this time. I mean if you ask me I think the colour green is quite tropical. Lastly the song at the end of the video gave me a blast to the past... I remember hearing that song used a lot in AMVs when I was younger, lol.

Yay, new video! :D You know, I think you make a very good point about Laura. They really are maketing her mermaid form heavily. Fingers crossed the mid-season ends up being a former villain instead! :D I'm sure we'll get to see Laura in some kind of Cure form though! Just not officially. I bet it'll for promotional art (like what they did with Fuwa) or for a movie exclusive transformation or something ^_^

Also, a season based on tradition Japanese culture sound super cool!! Theor weapons could be based on traditional Japanese weapons and the show could use the theme as an excuse to teach kids a bit about Japanese history :D

Glitter Force isn't the best. Even outside of the localization, it took away a lot of moments that changed the theme of smile (even if just a bit) which I do not appreciate. The name is interesting though because it would have been likely that it would have been precure if Futari Wa wasn't dubbed previously. My sources are largely hearsay, but apparently the title Precure was still held by the company that dubbed Futari Wa in the west, so Saban couldn't use the name Precure for smile. So they went along with production but with the name Glitter Force again.

That theory doesn't make sense because that company wasn't even distributing their Futari Wa dub by the mdi 2010s, so why couldn't Saban use 'Smile' Pretty Cure for their dub?

Until the previous distributor's contract runs out and isn't renewed, no one can use the material in the contract, even if the distributor isn't doing anything with it nor plans to do anything with it.

I used to watch the glitter force and glitter Force Doki Doki. And then I used to watch Go Princess PreCure on Kissanime and original PreCure on Crunchyroll. The problem I have with this series is that it's not on any streaming apps other than Crunchyroll that I know of. I don't like Crunchyroll has like 9 ads an episodes and i rather not use it. Edit. The thing is Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon are both extremely popular. If they did show Precure on more streaming apps it could have got extremely popular outside Japen. I believe that

I watch every season and I realize I never finish HappinessCharge PreCure! So I went back to finish and I just couldn't get though the first few episode. I really didn't like the blue cure and the story was so weird. This and Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star are the only season I skip/couldn't get into. Kinda avoiding all spoiler regarding plot for the new tropical one but it so funny how everyone keep thinking the 6th is the mermaid. They could pull another cure Ace and piss everyone off and let her be green at least lol

A theory of mine for tropical rouge is Cure summer and squad have a meguffin quest like the doki doki quest and when the girls collect the meguffin maybe like crystal seashells but anyway after they collect all four laura snatches them and shows her true colors as if no one knows yet Laura is using the precures if you need proof search for the manga theres a pic where she is explaining she is using the cures as her stepping stones but anyway all the seashells scury away in the skies and the next time we see them our green cure can come and maybe she can be s close character to one of the characters.

well I personally just found healin good to be rather dry, especially when compared to the past seasons before it which all tried new things. It just seemed rather dull, in both story and character designs. At the start, I liked the episodes I suppose, but it all quickly became not so exciting. A ranking of all 17 seasons would be a great idea, though i have to finish a few seasons first, namely futari wa, max heart, splash, fresh, and maho girls!

@@ScienceProject99 Oh okay. That's understandable. A lot can change within a year, so you never know what may happen. Its not my least favorite personally, but I definitely agree its one of the weaker entries in the franchise. A tier list ranking could also work if you have a “Haven’t finished yet” category. Until you finish the rest of the seasons, I still enjoy hearing your thoughts on Precure. Keep it up! What I’d like to hear is your favorite group attack, favorite ending dance sequence, and if Himari or Cure Custard from Kira Kira could’ve been better handled as a character.

I’m 100% alone on this but I would LOVE a clown themed season. Not like a circus or carnival themed season but a straight up clown themed season. Like, imagine if their transformation items were clown noses and they had to honk them during the transformation. and what If if their mascot was a living balloon dog? I just think it’s a cute and funny idea.

another precure season that should be added is one based on video games or games in general, where they need to fight video game monsters like the pac-man ghosts trying to defeat the cures and the villians that control the monsters could be in like a pixelated theme based on the game monster and the cures can be the enemys of the monsters like one is based on pac-man. just my opinion on a precure season that can be called : Game PreCure! : also why am I talking about pac-man only- and if they find a game with a green thing not monsters but like playable green character then there could be a green cure!
