I feel like toei is slowly trying to make green more popular or get people to like green again with very subtle shades, VERY SUBTLE. They honestly should just do another rainbow precure season or make their motifs more centric around the colour 😭

Not to be negative, but I think that most of HeartCatch and HUGtto's praise is undeserved. Firstly, I think HeartCatch is just okay so far. It's interesting, I like the drama with all the arguing, the songs were pretty decent, and the characters were unique. However, Itsuki is boring, the art style is really ugly, there's too much cursing, and it focuses too much on side characters. As for HUGtto, it's, in my opinion, the second worst Precure season of all time. I mean, sure, Homare was amazing, the songs were great, and the transformations were top-notch, but the story had too many plot holes, most of the characters had no development or personalities, Hana was a Mary Sue, and I don't care what any of y'all say. The birth scenes were really cringe and I don't understand why they get so much praise. Sorry this comment was so long.

How do you even watch smile pretty care if you can’t find the original?

Ngl I can’t really decide. I haven’t watched many Precure seasons though. I only watched Smile Precure, Doki Doki Precure and Happiness Charge Precure. I was planning on watching the one that follows after Happiness Charge. I have only recently started watching Precure but I’m planning on watching every season eventually. I can’t wait to see what the other Precures are like. Either way since I have not watched the other seasons I can only decide between the characters from those 3 seasons. So in that case: Pink: I like all 3. It’s hard for me to decide between Happy, Heart and Lovely but I guess if I had to rank them I guess I like Heart the most and Happy second. But all 3 of them are really close. Red: Ace, I guess? I think she’s the only red one in those 3 seasons? Yellow: Again I can’t decide between Peace and Rosetta Green: March Blue: Diamond Purple: I can’t decide between Sword and Fortune

Took the words out of my mouth! To be honest, I’m not a fan of the current Precure season. I wished there was more magical girl animes like Precure that could (hopefully) help shake up the magical girl industry. Not all magical girl animes need to be “edgy”, sometimes they can be cute fun stories about girls kicking butt in frilly dresses and wands. Embrace the pink! (Or pastels). I will be so pissed if this like a “fake out edgy magical anime”.

Green is such a nice color.... Precure does not give it the proper justice! March and Mint were always my favorites design wise because they're such a nice green color! It disappoints me that they never went very hard with green after that. The green cures always seem blue to me nowadays, seems like its a cop out for the color. Hopefully there's a new green cure in future seasons!

Toei Animation is responsible for both of these 2 Animes. Here's an idea, I suggest a crossover movie and a crossover series of Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure. Now that would be a real magical anime girl adventure. Also hopefully in the future, more brand new Sailor Guardians made by the fans can also be a part of it. That would be totally cool for sure. I've been a fan of the magical girls genre for years but its hard finding something that isn't covered in Yuri subtext. I haven't seen anything like sailor moon, where the girls have powers but still worry about teen girl stuff like cloths, boys and school. So far the Precure series has been my safe fall back to just enjoy vibrate girls with super powers.

This is what I mean when I say 2000s magical girls were EVERYTHING. We had such a variety back in the day, and Precure was just one of the many. Now it’s like we only rely on remakes and Precure for magical girl content. I’m very excited to see where this series goes alongside Acro Trip. We seriously need a magical girl revival.
