I have misophonia too, recently identified thanks to my therapist. Solidarity! For me, I have a hard time with mouth/body sounds like eating, drinking, and sniffling, as well as the sounds of dishes clinking with each other, the sink, etc. Various "scraping" sounds can also be really bad.

So my first impressions with these sounds are as follows: Nathan's: Squeaky sounds accompanied by clicking. I thought of a mouse jumping on a keyboard to send a business email. Determined and adorable. Jacob's: Very fast chaotic energy. Mix between a metallic sound and an animal (?) maybe. An image of a very frustrated, sleep deprived artist scribbling out their 87th attempt at drawing matching eyes. Lots of raw emotion and immediately giving up afterwards. Julia's: Clearly human sound but in a bad way. Sounds like they are gargling but also have a garbage disposal in their throat. Reminds me of the dentist from Little Shop of Horrors. I appreciate Julia's attempt at wiping this image from my mind.

That said, this drawing really resonated with 5 year-old me, playing with toys in the tub, and that kind of nostalgic wholesomeness hits me harder than TC. I think "most wholesome Julia drawing" is a pretty subjective superlative, and we each have our valid positions.

It's incredible where the mind goes when the only input is sound. For example: I thought Nathan's sound was like mice jumping on a tiny bed, Jacob's was like a wet pencil stuck in a pencil sharpener, and Julia's was someone gargling water around an electric toothbrush.

7:19 totally agree, and I think the gap is somewhere between 1979 and 1989. My oldest sister rocked Tweety Bird everything, but had to be reminded (by me) that the cat's name was Sylvester. To which she would reply, "Like the actor?"
